A Few Cards Done With My Silhouette Cameo

Good Morning Everyone! Thanks for stopping by. Here's a few cards that I did with my Silhouette Cameo. The girl next door will be turning 5 at the end of the month. She is an avid reader and my husband made her a cross stitch bookmark. Keeping with the theme, I decided to do a crayon shaped card. The picture doesn't do it justice, it is just as cute as can be and was SO easy. It is an A2 sized card that I added a tag cut from a CC Designs die and some twine---
Here is the cross stitch my husband did. The picture was scanned and doesn't show it's true beauty. My husband does GORGEOUS work, in most cases you can't tell the front from the back---

This was my first attempt at creating a card with my Silhouette...before the mat and the blade went bad. Everything on it was done with the Silhouette---
Those of you that know me, know that I have a tough time with St. Patrick's Day cards but I actually had fun with these. Done with clip art and the print and cut feature on the Silhouette. I love this feature and it actually works, unlike my Bosskut Gazelle which I was never able to get it right---
A closer look. You can't really tell from the picture but the clip art image was printed twice, once on the background and the other was cut and popped to give dimension---

That's it for today. I hope you enjoyed your visit and that I have inspired you. I have a few more St. Patrick's Day cards to do, then on to Easter. Enjoy your day...hope to see you again soon!

The Last of My Valentine's Day Cards

Good Morning...Happy Hump-day! I hope you are having a good week. So far, my week is going pretty good and has settled down from a few weeks ago. I had been on the fence for a while about the Silhouette Cameo and after "talking" to my blogger friend Kim in New Jersey I decided to take the plunge. Not that I used my BossKut Gazelle a lot, I really missed making shaped cards with it. When my computer crashed last summer and I had to upgrade to Windows 7, I realized just how much. Long story short, when I first got this amazing machine it worked great. I had so much fun playing with it and could see the endless possibilities it had to offer. After 4-5 days it started cutting ragged and missing cuts all together. I called Silhouette and after a few minor adjustments it seemed OK...well that was with the "test" cuts that were made while I was on the phone with them. I got up one morning ready to set the world on fire...no matter what I tried to cut, all it would do is tear the paper...if it cut at all. I can't tell you how much paper I went through trying to make the simplest of cuts. After countless attempts I called Silhouette. I spoke to the same girl that had helped me though the adjustments and she acted like she didn't believe me so I sent her pictures. They sent me a new blade that arrived Monday. Meanwhile, I went to a local Scrapbook store to purchase a new mat and blade. So far, so good but I can see this is going to be a high maintenance machine. Since mid January, I have gone through 2 blades and 3 mats and have only made 3 cards with it. This first Valentine is one of them, I will share the other 2 with you sometime next week. The lattice background and layered heart is a Silhouette cut while the Cupid is a Quickutz die. I added a few punched flowers with Martha Stewart branch punch and a Spellbinders tag---
For our Disney loving friends, a quick Valentine using Cricut Micky Font cartridge and a heart/scallop Nestibility. The sentiment is computer generated using Walt Disney font---
Because we always get our dogs groomed for Valentine's Day, I made a quick gift card holder for the groomer using the fire hydrant from Scrapping Cottage, a paw print punch and circle/scallop Nestibilities---
That's it for now...Thanks for stopping by. I will try to get back the first of next week to share with you the birthday and thank you card I made with the Silhouette Cameo...til then, have a great week!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Me...our Christmas has been delayed this year with the flu going around we were unable to celebrate with family members but were able to visit friends and neighbors. As another year comes to an end, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of my loyal friends and followers for their continued support. I have met so many wonderful people from all over the world through my 3 1/2 years of blogging, and hope to continue that friendship. While I don't have anything new to post, in keeping with tradition, I thought I would post my favorite 10 from 2012. Not in order of my favorite but in the order of oldest to newest. The Last of My Christmas Cards!!!

Good Morning Everyone...Hope you had a great weekend! Finally...the last of my Christmas cards. My Blogger friend, Cheryl wanted me to make a card for her daughter using Boo on His Bums...this is what I came up with..I hope she likes it. I put him...in this case, her in her winter outfit, added a tag punched with Fiskars tag punch and some Cuttlebug snowflakes..---
Another Blogger friend, Shirl wanted a card for her 7 year old grandson...gosh 7 years old is tough, he's at that in between age. I use the Scrapping Cottage Santa Peeker and HO HO dies, along with CC Design Christmas Lights, Cuttlebug snowflakes---
These next two may look familar, the first is the same layout and paper that I used for the owl card a few postings ago...I love the Stampin Up paper and I just had to do one more card with the Memory Box Perched Reed Bird and Twigs and berries die---
Also very similar to the Disney card I posted last week using the small Window die from Memory Box and Sizzix Brick Texture Fade Embossing Folder---
That's it for now...I'll be taking a little break so let me take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas. I will be back after Christmas to post my favorite 10 cards for 2012. Til then, have a great week and Happy Holidays!

A Few Quick Christmas Cards

Good Morning...I hope you had a great week. I'm really pressed for time this morning so I chose a few clean and simple cards to post today. This first one is very easy to mass produce. I used a Stampin' Up image with the Memory Box Star of Wonder---
Another quick and easy card using 2 of my favorite Memory Box dies, the Reed Bird and Twigs and Berries---
Not sure what I should do with this Memory Box die, I decided to keep it simple until I had the time to play with it a little more---
This last one is a money holder for our hair dresser. The sentiment is computer generated with clip art that I found on line. I added a few Quik Kutz poinsettias and Martha Stewart Holly punch---
That's it for now...I'll be back the first of the week with more Christmas cards. Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

I'm Back With More Christmas Cards

Good Morning...I hope you are having a great week.  I fully intended to get these posted this weekend but you know how life gets in the way sometimes. I used Spellbinder Nested Mittens and Cuttlebug Snowflake die on this quick and easy card. The edge punch is from Stampin' Up, but I don't remember the name---
For our Disney friends, I took a clip art image that I found on line and put it behind the small Memory Box Window die that I sandwiched a piece of acetate between two layers so that I could frost the windows. The embossing Folder is Sizzix Brick Texture Fade and the snowflakes are Cuttlebug die---
Another quick card that I used Memory Box Country Landscape and Star of Wonder die. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. Yes, I know the star is crooked, but I fixed it before mailing---
For this last one, I used Memory Box Virtuoso Music die and a Penny Black image colored with Copic Markers. You can't tell from the picture because it is a little washed out but I put Stickles on the hats. The sentiment is computer generated---
Thanks for stopping by...I'll be back later in the week to post more Christmas cards...hope to see you then. Enjoy your day!

A Few More Christmas Cards

Good Morning...As promised, I am back with a few more Christmas cards. Here is a card that I made for my Blogger friend Shirl for her 7 year old grandson to give to his teacher. I had so much fun with this, I use the Go Kreate Owl with the hat from the Scrapping Cottage Santa Peeker, Perched him on the Twigs and Berries die from Memory Box and added some snowflakes from a Cuttlebug die. I added some Glossy Accents to the berries and Liquid Applique to the hat---
A quick card made with the Nested Mitten die from Spellbinders, Cuttlebug Snowflake die and Fiskars tag punch---
I'm not sure I like the way this turned out. I cut the window out with a circle Nestibilitiy, then used Martha Stewart Branch punch for the wreath and added some poinsettias cut from Quik Kutz die. The holly is from Martha Stewart Holly punch and the words are computer generated---
And finally, another quick card using the Memory Box Perched Reed Bird, Snowflake Ornament and Twigs and Berries die...how I love that little guy! The scalloped edge is a EK success punch---
That's it for now but I'll be back in a few days with yet more. Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy your weekend!

A Few Christmas Cards

Hello Everyone...I know it has been awhile since I have posted, and I almost never post in the evening. I wasn't going to at all, it wasn't until I had several people email me to ask if I was OK that I decided to do something about it. Blogging is a lot of work and I guess I have gotten lazy. I will be sure to visit your blog if you leave a comment. I've got a ton of cards...all Christmas to post but I'm only going to do a few at a time over the next week or so...that way I won't be so overwhelmed. For this card, I used the Scrapping Cottage Tea Time Doily die. The holly is a stamp from Peachy Keen colored with Copic Markers and added Glossy Accents. The sentiments are from Heartfelt Creation and Michael's Dollar bin that I used Perfect Pearls---
Here's a card done in my favorite non traditional color...PINK. I used Quik Kutz Poinsettia die, Martha Stewart Holly punch, and Spellbinder Lacey Circle. The sentiment is computer generated---
Another card using the poinsettia die from Quik Kutz and Martha Stewart Holly punch. The ornament is the 2011 Heirloom Ornament die from Spellbinders---
For this last card, I used the reindeer from the Fanciful Holiday set from Spellbinders, Martha Stewart Tree edge punch, circle Nestibilities, and Elegant Scroll-work die from Memory Box
That's it for now..For those of you that have been kind enough to leave a comment, thank you so much.
