Top O The Mornin' To You...A Day Late

Good Morning. I know this St. Patrick's Day posting is a day late and more than a dollar short. It has been ages since I have posted but with good reason. There has been so much illness at our house since mid February. My husband and I have been passing back and forth with what would have seemed to be an ordinary common cold but it landed me in the hospital. When I couldn't catch my breath and started turning blue, I decided it was more than just a common cold, my husband called 911. They immediately transported me to the hospital where I called the PCU my home for the last week. It was a very scary experience and I am all to happy to be home. I am a little weak and it will take me a while to play "catch up" but I did want to share the cards I made since my last posting, I'm too tired to list the details but for the most part, these cards were done with my Silhouette---

That's it for now...I can't say for sure when I will be back to regular postings but I hope it isn't too long. Til then...thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

A Couple of Birthday and a Few Valentine's Day Cards

Good Morning Everyone! For those of you wondering where I've been...I'm here...I just haven't had time to keep up with my crafting much less keep up with my blog. This is going to be a short posting but I did want to share a couple of birthday cards along with a few Valentine's Day cards with you. Let me start by apologizing for the poor quality of the pictures...I don't know if it's the lighting or the settings on the camera but they all look washed out. I don't have the luxury of time to post the details for each card but for the most part they were done with my Silhouette...gosh I LOVE that machine---

That's it for now...don't give up on me. I hope to be back posting on a regular basis soon. Thanks for stopping by...enjoy your day and have a wonderful week!

I Know...I've Been Bad...

Good Morning! I know I have been a bad blogger and am really sorry that I don't have more to share with you. When health issues get in the way, something has got to give and I'm afraid in this case, it has been my blog. Here are a few cards that have been done for weeks but I just haven't had a chance to post them until now. A birthday card for my wonderful daughter in law made with a few cuts from the Silhouette on line store, Impression Obsession leafy branch, Sizzix mini daisy and yarrow flower dies and Stampin' Up embossing folder---
A birthday card for my son who has a passion for giraffes. From a picture of a giraffe I found on line I did a print and cut with my Silhouette and added the cattails from a Spellbinder die---
We needed a sympathy card fast and this slider note card from the Silhouette on line store fit the bill. I added a flourish, the bird image then added a few pearls and put glitter on the flowers---

A new baby card for the couple next door made from a few cuts from what else but the Silhouette on line store and Spellbinders label 7 made into an easel card. The colors wouldn't have been my first choice for a baby card but her room is done in pinks and lavenders---
That's all for today. I am SO behind on my Valentine cards. As I feverishly try to get them done on time, I will I'll try not to be such a stranger and post them when I'm done. Til then...enjoy your day and have a great week!

A Birthday, Breast Cancer and 2 Anniversary Cards

Greetings Blog Friends! I hope you are having a good weekend! I don't usually post on the weekends and almost never ever post at night but I've got a busy week ahead and I wanted to gets these posted before I lost the thread of things. A simple card made with Spellbinder Sprightly Sprockets...That right...a card done without the use of my Silhouette...
A while back, my son asked me to cut him a breast cancer ribbon with my Silhouette so that he could make a card for my ex-sister-in-law who recently underwent surgery for breast cancer. While I was at it, I cut the ribbon for myself and made this card, just to have on hand---
The same but different...2 anniversary cards...The same layout, different paper and one has a square and the other has an oval for the sentiment. This was my first attempt at using the rhinestone feature on my Silhouette. Now, with the olive out of the jar, I will have to try something a little more creative---
That's it for now...Just to let you know that I may be MIA for awhile. Many months ago, I noticed a drastic change in my vision. When I went to my eye doctor last month, she confirmed what I had already thought was the case...cataracts...both eyes making me as blind as a bat. I will have surgery on the first eye this week with the other to follow once my "new eye" settles in. Not knowing how my vision will be with only one good eye, I don't want to say when I will be back blogging. Cross your fingers that all goes well. I will see you when I see you but the next time I post...I will REALLY be able to see you...lol! Have a great evening!

A Couple Birthday and a Thank You Card

Happy Monday! Thanks for stopping by...I hope you had a good weekend. For those of you that have wondered where I have been...I'm here...I'm here! I just haven't had much time for blogging. I suppose once again I have gotten lazy and neglected my blog. Here are a couple of birthday cards and a quick thank you card that is a little out of my comfort zone. For this first birthday card I used a mix of Spellbinder Sprightly Sprockets and gears from the Silhouette online store. The Scrabble pieces are a print and cut done with my Silhouette---
A birthday card for my special Blogger friend Lorene. The bear and background papers are from the Nitwit Grin and Bear It collection teamed with a few cuts from my Silhouette---
A little bit out of my comfort zone but I wanted to do something with the mouse from the Beatrix Potter collection I had gotten several weeks ago when The Silhouette online store had a half price sale of their licensed print and cut images. You can't tell from the picture but I used rock candy distressed stickles on the back ground and added the needle and thread from Memory Box---
That's is for now. Til next time...have a wonderful week!

A Few Birthday Cards for Our Grandsons

Good Morning Sweet Blogger Friends! I hope you are having a great week. Just a quick posting to share the birthday cards I made for our grandsons. Made with clip art I found online and the print and cut feature of my Silhouette. Kind of corny I know but I'm sure they will love them. They love getting cards from me...my daughter in law has a decorative basket in their room with every card I have made for them---
These are for the twins...since I couldn't mirror image the card because of the "3" I decided to flip-flop the paper. Recently my blogger friend, Kim from Colorado asked if I ever duplicate my Christmas cards and this is the reason I don't. I get so bored with it that half way through the second card, I am so tired of looking at it---
That's it for now...thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day and have a wonderful week!

A Few Cards Done With My Silhouette Cameo

Good Morning Everyone! Thanks for stopping by. Here's a few cards that I did with my Silhouette Cameo. The girl next door will be turning 5 at the end of the month. She is an avid reader and my husband made her a cross stitch bookmark. Keeping with the theme, I decided to do a crayon shaped card. The picture doesn't do it justice, it is just as cute as can be and was SO easy. It is an A2 sized card that I added a tag cut from a CC Designs die and some twine---
Here is the cross stitch my husband did. The picture was scanned and doesn't show it's true beauty. My husband does GORGEOUS work, in most cases you can't tell the front from the back---

This was my first attempt at creating a card with my Silhouette...before the mat and the blade went bad. Everything on it was done with the Silhouette---
Those of you that know me, know that I have a tough time with St. Patrick's Day cards but I actually had fun with these. Done with clip art and the print and cut feature on the Silhouette. I love this feature and it actually works, unlike my Bosskut Gazelle which I was never able to get it right---
A closer look. You can't really tell from the picture but the clip art image was printed twice, once on the background and the other was cut and popped to give dimension---

That's it for today. I hope you enjoyed your visit and that I have inspired you. I have a few more St. Patrick's Day cards to do, then on to Easter. Enjoy your day...hope to see you again soon!
