Thanks

Good Morning Everyone...are you as ready for the weekend as I am? It's been a long week! At my age you don't want wish your days away but I thought Friday would never get here! Here is a Thank You card we sent to our good friends Kathi and Bob for taking us to dinner. It's always nice to get together with them but the food at Ciao Italia was superb, dining at it's finest here in in Orlando. Good food, good company, it just doesn't get much better! I told her when she emailed us to thank us for their thank you card that she was SO funny but I had fun making it. I have to admit it's getting to be more and more of a challenge not to repeat myself..but I love a good challenge. Don't you love it when the paper makes the card and all you have to do is add a focal point...and of course it had to be Mickey---

I've got a lot of running to do today so if I don't get a chance to visit your blog this morning but I'll be sure to stop by this afternoon or tonight to see what you've been up to. Some Bunny Loves You/Hoppy Easter To You

Good Morning Everyone...Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit. Here are a couple Easter cards that I scraplifted from Sue Nelson of Heartprints (with her permission, of course)last year but since I didn't get the stamp until after Easter, I wasn't able to make use of the stamp until now. I'm really pressed for time so I wanted something quick and easy, so here it is. One will go to my good friend Gigi's to give to her son and the other will go to my father-in-law for his cutesy Easter card (we always send him two, one serious and one just for fun). I used The Cutting Cafe Easter Sentiments for both---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: A2
Stamps/Image: Penny Black
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-Easter Sentiments
Nestabilities: Heart
Accessories: Ribbon, Gel Pen, Stickles, Flower Soft

More Easter Cards

Good Morning...Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! What started out as a beautiful weekend, ended with wet and cold weather yesterday. Here's a couple more Easter cards that I worked on this morning....just a few more and I will be done! Good thing huh...they will have to be mailed no later than Friday and of course, I still have to do the insides, so I will be busy this week! This first one is for my sister-in-law and her husband. The bible verse and sentiment is computer generated with the bible verse being behind a piece of vellum so it looks a little hazy---

Here's the recipe---
Card Size: A2
Stamps/Image: Computer Generated
Font: Biondi, Monotype Corsiva
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop. Petite Oval/Scallop
Cuttlebug: Meadow Lark from HSN Romance Embossing Folder
Punch: Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly, Martha Stewart Branch, EK Mountain Fern
Accessories: Ribbon, Glitter, Mulberry Rose, Foam Pop Dots

This next one is for my step son in Austin, and I really had a tough time with this one. Everything that went through my mind was too girly. I had to take the picture without the flash because because of the sheen on the paper so it didn't photograph well---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size:A2
Stamp/Image: Darcies
Nestibilities: Petite Oval/Scallop
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots
Punch: Stampin Up Scallop Trim Border
Font: Computer Generated-LD Cute Curls

I'll be giving away the newest Printable Stamp Set-Beautiful Blooms along with the project I made with it. Deadline for comments is midnight (EDT) March 24th, with the drawing to be the morning (early morning...before 6am...you know I'm an early bird) of March 25th. Be sure to check out the posting Regina did last night on the Cutting Cafe with all of my Design Team Sisters' creations and visit their blogs to see what they will be giving away! Bunny Shaped Card

Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. We had GORGEOUS weather this weekend and when I was visiting my favorite blogs yesterday, it looked like much of the nation was having nice weather as well. All I can say is it's about time! I think this weekend was the first time since before Christmas that we didn't have to "bump the heat" to take the chill out of the house. Here's a card I did using my Gazelle and The Cutting Cafe Bunny Shaped Template. I had so much fun with this, and I can't believe how easy it was. Further to that, I can't believe I allowed my Gazelle to sit there for months collecting dust. I can see that I'm going to have to practice self discipline and pry myself out of my craftroom. This one is for my grandson for Easter---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Card measures just under 5" x 5"
Template: Cutting Cafe Bunny Shaped Template
Accessories: Ribbon, Flower Soft, Brads, Heart Button, Embroidery Floss

That's it for this morning but be sure to stop back later, I've got a few St. Patrick's Day cards that I wasn't able to post until the recipients had a chance to receive them. I'm a little pressed for time so I will be posting them a little later. Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you soon!

Happy Spring

Good Morning...Happy Friday! Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy your visit. I've done something a little different and a little outside of my comfort zone but had so much fun! You remember when I asked for a BossKut Gazelle for Christmas, then when it came, I whined til my husband gave in and let me have it early, only to use it once or twice, got frustrated and just about threw it out the window...Well on the suggestion of my fearless leader Regina I decided to give it another try. Here's what I created with it and you know what...it was simple with the aid of The Cutting Cafe Butterfly Template. Not to worry if you don't have a BossKut, Pazzles or other cutting machine, the file comes in a PDF file as well. I also did something new for me, stitching and while I'm OK with it, I wish I would have run the stitches all the way to the upper outer edge of the butterfly but glued it in place before I had a chance to see what it looked like...oh well, next time I'll know better---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Base card measures 5.5" x 4"
Template: Cutting Cafe Butterfly Template
Nestibilities/Spellbinders: Petite Oval/Scallop
Cuttlebug: With Love Embossing Border Set, Babyface Alphabet
Sizzix: Phrase-Spring Flowers, Flower & Flourish #2
Accessories: Glitter, Flat Back Pearls, Embroidery Floss, Foam Pop Dots

Now how quick and easy is that? That's all I've got for you today. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to set your clocks ahead this weekend as we enter Daylight Savings Time. Woo Hoo...I LOVE it...I don't care if we do lose an hour, it's great to have the daylight in the evening! Have a fabulous weekend...Hope to see you on Monday!!

Blessings As You Celebrate His Resurrection

Good Morning Everyone! I'm so happy you stopped by today...come on in and take a look around...stay as long as you would like. Just remember, if you have a question as to how I've done something, I need your email address for I can respond to you. Last August when I saw the Sympathy card that my dear blogger friend Lillie made using the labels 7 Nestibilities from Spellbinders, I just had to have them but having no idea what I would do with them, I just couldn't justify the cost. A few weeks ago, Joann's had a sale and with Easter coming, I got the set with this card in mind. You really can't tell from the picture, but the "book" made with the labels are folded in half, the "spine" of the book was adhered to the card using score tape then with foam pop dots place to both sides of the spine and score tape used on the edges to give more of a 3D effect. Here is my card---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size:A2
Stamp/Sentiment: Stampin Up (Happy Easter)
Nestibilities/Spellbinders: Labels 7, Ribbon Tag Trio
Cuttlebug: Meadow Lark from HSN Romance Bundle, Swiss Dots
Punch: Martha Stewart 3 Butterfly, EK Mountain Fern
Font: Computer Generated (on "book") AltastGreeting, Batang
Accessories: Ribbon, Flat Back Pearls, Craft Ink, Mini Roses, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today...thanks so much for stopping by, I hope to see you again tomorrow. Have a wonderful day!
