My Favorite 10 From 2012.

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Me...our Christmas has been delayed this year with the flu going around we were unable to celebrate with family members but were able to visit friends and neighbors. As another year comes to an end, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of my loyal friends and followers for their continued support. I have met so many wonderful people from all over the world through my 3 1/2 years of blogging, and hope to continue that friendship. While I don't have anything new to post, in keeping with tradition, I thought I would post my favorite 10 from 2012. Not in order of my favorite but in the order of oldest to newest. This card tugs at my heart. It was a card I made for my mom. Many of you know that my mom passed in October and while I know she is at peace and no longer in pain, the holidays were really tough for me this year. You can find the original post here ---

A couple of fun stair step Easter cards. The original post is here---
A card made for our neighbor for a wedding she attended in Brazil. Felicidades...That is Congratulations in English. The original post is here---
My husband asked why I chose this card...I don't know, I just liked it. The original post for this fun card is here---
A sympathy card made for a dear friend of my husband's who lost his wife...In loving memory of Sarah The posting can be found here---
The posting for a Thank You card for my Aunt for all she did for my mom is here---
And finally a card made for a blogger friend's 7 year old son to give to his teacher who calls her students her owlettes.. The posting can be found here---
That's it for my 2012 year in review. The Last of My Christmas Cards!!!

Good Morning Everyone...Hope you had a great weekend! Finally...the last of my Christmas cards. My Blogger friend, Cheryl wanted me to make a card for her daughter using Boo on His Bums...this is what I came up with..I hope she likes it. I put him...in this case, her in her winter outfit, added a tag punched with Fiskars tag punch and some Cuttlebug snowflakes..---
Another Blogger friend, Shirl wanted a card for her 7 year old grandson...gosh 7 years old is tough, he's at that in between age. I use the Scrapping Cottage Santa Peeker and HO HO dies, along with CC Design Christmas Lights, Cuttlebug snowflakes---
These next two may look familar, the first is the same layout and paper that I used for the owl card a few postings ago...I love the Stampin Up paper and I just had to do one more card with the Memory Box Perched Reed Bird and Twigs and berries die---
Also very similar to the Disney card I posted last week using the small Window die from Memory Box and Sizzix Brick Texture Fade Embossing Folder---
That's it for now...I'll be taking a little break so let me take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas. I will be back after Christmas to post my favorite 10 cards for 2012. Til then, have a great week and Happy Holidays!

A Few Quick Christmas Cards

Good Morning...I hope you had a great week. I'm really pressed for time this morning so I chose a few clean and simple cards to post today. This first one is very easy to mass produce. I used a Stampin' Up image with the Memory Box Star of Wonder---
Another quick and easy card using 2 of my favorite Memory Box dies, the Reed Bird and Twigs and Berries---
Not sure what I should do with this Memory Box die, I decided to keep it simple until I had the time to play with it a little more---
This last one is a money holder for our hair dresser. The sentiment is computer generated with clip art that I found on line. I added a few Quik Kutz poinsettias and Martha Stewart Holly punch---
That's it for now...I'll be back the first of the week with more Christmas cards. Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

I'm Back With More Christmas Cards

Good Morning...I hope you are having a great week.  I fully intended to get these posted this weekend but you know how life gets in the way sometimes. I used Spellbinder Nested Mittens and Cuttlebug Snowflake die on this quick and easy card. The edge punch is from Stampin' Up, but I don't remember the name---
For our Disney friends, I took a clip art image that I found on line and put it behind the small Memory Box Window die that I sandwiched a piece of acetate between two layers so that I could frost the windows. The embossing Folder is Sizzix Brick Texture Fade and the snowflakes are Cuttlebug die---
Another quick card that I used Memory Box Country Landscape and Star of Wonder die. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. Yes, I know the star is crooked, but I fixed it before mailing---
For this last one, I used Memory Box Virtuoso Music die and a Penny Black image colored with Copic Markers. You can't tell from the picture because it is a little washed out but I put Stickles on the hats. The sentiment is computer generated---
Thanks for stopping by...I'll be back later in the week to post more Christmas cards...hope to see you then. Enjoy your day!

A Few More Christmas Cards

Good Morning...As promised, I am back with a few more Christmas cards. Here is a card that I made for my Blogger friend Shirl for her 7 year old grandson to give to his teacher. I had so much fun with this, I use the Go Kreate Owl with the hat from the Scrapping Cottage Santa Peeker, Perched him on the Twigs and Berries die from Memory Box and added some snowflakes from a Cuttlebug die. I added some Glossy Accents to the berries and Liquid Applique to the hat---
A quick card made with the Nested Mitten die from Spellbinders, Cuttlebug Snowflake die and Fiskars tag punch---
I'm not sure I like the way this turned out. I cut the window out with a circle Nestibilitiy, then used Martha Stewart Branch punch for the wreath and added some poinsettias cut from Quik Kutz die. The holly is from Martha Stewart Holly punch and the words are computer generated---
And finally, another quick card using the Memory Box Perched Reed Bird, Snowflake Ornament and Twigs and Berries die...how I love that little guy! The scalloped edge is a EK success punch---
That's it for now but I'll be back in a few days with yet more. Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy your weekend!

A Few Christmas Cards

Hello Everyone...I know it has been awhile since I have posted, and I almost never post in the evening. I wasn't going to at all, it wasn't until I had several people email me to ask if I was OK that I decided to do something about it. Blogging is a lot of work and I guess I have gotten lazy. I will be sure to visit your blog if you leave a comment. I've got a ton of cards...all Christmas to post but I'm only going to do a few at a time over the next week or so...that way I won't be so overwhelmed. For this card, I used the Scrapping Cottage Tea Time Doily die. The holly is a stamp from Peachy Keen colored with Copic Markers and added Glossy Accents. The sentiments are from Heartfelt Creation and Michael's Dollar bin that I used Perfect Pearls---
Here's a card done in my favorite non traditional color...PINK. I used Quik Kutz Poinsettia die, Martha Stewart Holly punch, and Spellbinder Lacey Circle. The sentiment is computer generated---
Another card using the poinsettia die from Quik Kutz and Martha Stewart Holly punch. The ornament is the 2011 Heirloom Ornament die from Spellbinders---
For this last card, I used the reindeer from the Fanciful Holiday set from Spellbinders, Martha Stewart Tree edge punch, circle Nestibilities, and Elegant Scroll-work die from Memory Box
That's it for now..For those of you that have been kind enough to leave a comment, thank you so much.

A Few More Fun Christmas Cards and A Disney Thanksgiving

Good Morning Everyone!  I hope you are having a great start to a great week! Here's a few more fun Christmas cards I'd like to share with you. I used the Gingerbread Doll die from Peachy Keen/Scrapping Cottage, Punch a Bunch Holly and Cuttlebug Snowflakes. The sentiment is computer generated---
This next one is for our good friends Gigi and Eduardo...the inside says "We know which one of you is naughty but we love you anyway" They will get a kick out of it and it will let them decide which one is naughty and which one is nice...lol!. It didn't photograph very well...if you look very close you can almost see the layers of snow that I used Heat and Stick then glittered it. In real life you can see the layers. The sweet penguins are a die from Peachy Keen/Scrapping Cottage. I'm not sure where the Naughty or Nice Circle word came from but it was a freebie...if anyone knows who's it is, please let me know so that I can give them credit---
Here is the the money holder for our dog groomer. I used the Christmas Puppy and Shih Tzu Peeker from Scrapping Cottage, Peachy Keen holly stamp that I colored with Copic Markers and Martha Stewart Branch Punch. The sentiment, along with the background words are computer generated---
And last but not least, here is the Thanksgiving card we sent to our Disney enthusiasts friends Kathi and Bob. We mailed it last week so they should have received it by now. Very much like the ones I did several weeks ago but I used Disney font  for the background and added a Mickey head cut with Cricut Mickey Font cartridge---
That's it for now...Thanks for stopping by. I'm sure I won't be back before Thursday so let me take this opportunity to wish everyone that will be celebrating a very Happy Thanksgiving. I for one have so very much to be thankful for. Thank you for your continued support...enjoy your day and have a great week!

A Few Fun Christmas Cards

Good Morning Everyone...Thanks for stopping by. I hope you had a great weekend! I worked on a few FUN Christmas cards this weekend so you know my weekend was great! This first one has a lot going on, I used Peachy Keen Scrapping Cottage Penguin die, CC Design Christmas Bulb die, Sizzix Christmas Tree and Button die, Martha Stewart Alpine Edge punch (for the snowflakes), and I punch the ornaments from the Martha Stewart Christmas Tree punch. I put several layers on Glossy Accents on the bulbs so they are really thick. You can't tell from the picture but they have a lot of dimension---
These next 2 are for the twins. I used the Scrapping Cottage Christmas Puppy die, Memory Box Jingle Bells and Cuttlebug Snowflake die. I used Liquid Applique on the hat and the sentiment is computer generated.  I usually try to do theirs the same but a mirror image but no matter which way I put the layout, I just couldn't get it to be a mirror image so I ended up putting their names on the front of the card. It wasn't until I went to take picture that I thought what I should have done was flip flop the papers...duh---
And finally, for our vet...I used The Scrapping Cottage Christmas Puppy and Shih  Tzu Peeker, along with the Quick Kutz Christmas tree. The tiny flowers on the tree is from The Scrapping Cottage Sugar Egg die and the snowflakes are from Martha Stewart Alpine edge punch. These dogs are an incredible likeness of our dogs, so I will be using them again for our dogs groomers card---
That's it for today... Thanks again for stopping by. Enjoy your day and have a wonderful week!

A Few Birthday Cards

Good Morning Everyone...I hope you are having a great week. I've not had a chance to do any crafting this week so I thought I would post a couple of birthday cards that I made a while ago. This first one would have been for my mom. Oh how I miss her...today would have been her 80th birthday. It's been almost a month since she passed and I still have my moments, but I'm working through them. Pretty simple card, I used a EK Edge punch, a circle/scallop Nestibility, added a few sentiment tickets and some flowers---
This next one is for my husbands son. Modeled after a card that my son had done for Father's Day for a girl that works with my daughter in law. The $20 was replaced with a check but I wanted to show you what it looked like with money in the pocket. The pocket and the collar were straight cut, stitched and layered and the buttons are made with a Sizzix die. The sentiment "from our pocket to yours" was computer generated and was my husband's idea---
Here is the one that my son did...I'm sure it was taken with his phone so it's not cropped but he does pretty nice work, wouldn't you say---
That's it for now...I hope to get some crafting time in to work on a few Christmas cards this weekend so be sure to stop back next week...til then, enjoy your day and have a great week!

The Last of My Thanksgiving Cards and a Disney Halloween

Good Morning! I hope everyone is warm and dry and those effected by the storm, know that my heart goes out to you and I will keep you in my prayers. Here is the last of my Thanksgiving cards. The first ones didn't photograph well...yeah, my camera is acting up AGAIN...the colors are way off. I found the turkey image on line and teamed it up with a circle/scallop Nestibility and Martha Stewart Maple Leaf corner punch. The sentiment is computer generated---

This is the last of my tear animals. The pattern was so large, there wasn't much room for embellishments so I went with a quick and easy easel card. The background "gobble til you wobble" is computer generated and again it didn't photograph well...it is very washed out and is much brighter in real life---
And finally, a Halloween card made for our Disney enthusiasts friends, Kathi and Bob. Very cheesy but I wasn't going to do Halloween cards at all this year, so this is what I came up with at the last minute. I combined clip art that I found on line with the Beaded Circle Nestibility and Cuttlebug Halloween 3x3 die---
That's it for now...thanks for stopping by...if you need more information, feel free to email me with your questions. Enjoy your day and have a great week!

Two Very Special Thank You Cards

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week. It's been a tough 2 weeks for me. Heartfelt thanks to those that were kind enough to send cards, emails and left comments here on my blog for the passing of my mom. Without your prayers and support, I don't know how I would have gotten through. I still feel a void but am slowing getting back into the swing of things. Here are 2 very special Thank You cards. The first one was sent to my aunt who spent countless hours caring for my mom, not only during her battle with cancer but acted as a companion when she was well after the passing of my dad some years ago. Aunt Midge, you will never know how grateful we are. I used Spellbinder Floral Ovals, Cuttlebug With Gratitude Card Combo Die and EK Diamond Lace Edge Punch---
This next card went to my grandson's who even though I wasn't in the mood to celebrate, made my birthday extra special. The twins have such a passion for puppies, I couldn't resist using this Scrapping Cottage Party Puppy for their card. While not my favorite die, I have over used the Shih Tzu Peeker and plan on using my new Christmas Puppy die for their Christmas card. The bone is also a Scrapping Cottage die and the paw print in a punch layered on a Nestibility circle and added to Cuttlebug Babyface Alpha Die---
While these next 2 aren't Thank You cards, they were in my camera about the time my computer crashed and hadn't had a chance to post them. Very simple and doesn't need explaining. I used Stampin' Up Digital Designer Paper printed on parchment paper, inked the edges and added a computer generated sentiment---
My Blogger friend Shirl wanted a Thinking of You or a Sympathy card, similar to the one I made last month for the husband of a vendor my husband worked with years ago. I converted it it an A2 using a computer generated sentiment that could be used for either, then layered it on a Petite Oval/Scallop Nestibility---
That's it for now...Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week and I hope to see you soon!
