Have A Question On How I Did Something? PLEASE READ!

I love to share what knowledge I have. I'm finding it more and more difficult to respond to your questions because some of you are not leaving a way for me to contact you. I am not ignoring those of you who have questions, but the majority of the time no contact information is given so I am unable to respond to your inquiries. If you are serious about me answering the questions you ask and do not have a Blogger account with an email address linked to it, please leave your email address or email me with your question at knmic1012@aol.com and I will get back with you. If you email me, be sure to put "blog question" in the subject line so I won't think it's SPAM and delete it.

The Last of My Thanksgiving Cards and a Disney Halloween

Good Morning! I hope everyone is warm and dry and those effected by the storm, know that my heart goes out to you and I will keep you in my prayers. Here is the last of my Thanksgiving cards. The first ones didn't photograph well...yeah, my camera is acting up AGAIN...the colors are way off. I found the turkey image on line and teamed it up with a circle/scallop Nestibility and Martha Stewart Maple Leaf corner punch. The sentiment is computer generated---

This is the last of my tear animals. The pattern was so large, there wasn't much room for embellishments so I went with a quick and easy easel card. The background "gobble til you wobble" is computer generated and again it didn't photograph well...it is very washed out and is much brighter in real life---
And finally, a Halloween card made for our Disney enthusiasts friends, Kathi and Bob. Very cheesy but I wasn't going to do Halloween cards at all this year, so this is what I came up with at the last minute. I combined clip art that I found on line with the Beaded Circle Nestibility and Cuttlebug Halloween 3x3 die---
That's it for now...thanks for stopping by...if you need more information, feel free to email me with your questions. Enjoy your day and have a great week!

Two Very Special Thank You Cards

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week. It's been a tough 2 weeks for me. Heartfelt thanks to those that were kind enough to send cards, emails and left comments here on my blog for the passing of my mom. Without your prayers and support, I don't know how I would have gotten through. I still feel a void but am slowing getting back into the swing of things. Here are 2 very special Thank You cards. The first one was sent to my aunt who spent countless hours caring for my mom, not only during her battle with cancer but acted as a companion when she was well after the passing of my dad some years ago. Aunt Midge, you will never know how grateful we are. I used Spellbinder Floral Ovals, Cuttlebug With Gratitude Card Combo Die and EK Diamond Lace Edge Punch---
This next card went to my grandson's who even though I wasn't in the mood to celebrate, made my birthday extra special. The twins have such a passion for puppies, I couldn't resist using this Scrapping Cottage Party Puppy for their card. While not my favorite die, I have over used the Shih Tzu Peeker and plan on using my new Christmas Puppy die for their Christmas card. The bone is also a Scrapping Cottage die and the paw print in a punch layered on a Nestibility circle and added to Cuttlebug Babyface Alpha Die---
While these next 2 aren't Thank You cards, they were in my camera about the time my computer crashed and hadn't had a chance to post them. Very simple and doesn't need explaining. I used Stampin' Up Digital Designer Paper printed on parchment paper, inked the edges and added a computer generated sentiment---
My Blogger friend Shirl wanted a Thinking of You or a Sympathy card, similar to the one I made last month for the husband of a vendor my husband worked with years ago. I converted it it an A2 using a computer generated sentiment that could be used for either, then layered it on a Petite Oval/Scallop Nestibility---
That's it for now...Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week and I hope to see you soon!

Forgive Me for Being a Bad Blogger...It Has Been a Heck of a Week!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you have had a great week because someone had to do it and it sure wasn't me! It started with our A/C going out. Now that may not be a big deal to most of you with the cooling temperatures but here in Florida it is very humid and even with the temperatures in the mid 80's, it was hot and sticky enough to be miserable. Then...our Maltese, Charlee (mama's little princess as my husband refers to her) had an emergency trip to the vet. She was dazed and confused, pacing back and forth and panting like she was going to have a stroke. As it turns out, she is fine but it was touch and go for a few days. With my computer on, I sat in my craftroom working on a card, all of a sudden, the computer crashed...just shut down...no warning, it just shut down. I tried to turn it back on but NOTHING so after my husband checked the obvious, the battery, power supply, etc, it was going to require a trip to the Geek Squad or the purchase a new computer. We opted for the latter since my computer was 4 years old. With that being said, not being computer literate or familiar with Windows 7, it has been quite an adjustment for me. After having a conversation with my husband about receiving our new voters registration cards, I went to look for mine and not only unable to find it, my drivers license was missing! Tearing my purse and the house apart and racking my brain to think when was the last time I needed to show identification, I decided to get a replacement. Thursdays evening we got the dreaded call that we were expecting, my mom had passed away. Although expecting it, I'm still numb from the shock but take comfort in knowing she is in a better place, in peace and no longer suffering. This has been a very stressful week and I apologize for being a bad blogger but I hope to be back in the swing of things very soon and have a few cards to share with you, along with visiting my favorite blogs which I have been very lax. Til then, have a wonderful weekend, I hope to see you real soon.

Happy Card Making Day!

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Card Making Day! I know I've been a really bad blogger and it has been awhile since I have posted to my blog. I'm not going to make excuses...I just haven't had the luxury of time to spend on the Internet. I'd like to share the cards I have made since my last posting. I wasn't going to make Thanksgiving cards this year but changed my mind. Here are some of them. This is such a large posting, I don't have the time to list the supplies that I used but if you need more information...please don't hesitate to email me---
I wanted a quick and easy card to send to friends for Thanksgiving that wouldn't require a trip to the post office to mail---
My grandson is having a tough time adjusting to 1st grade. When he saw his kindergarten teacher at the book fair, he asked me to make a card for her. He knew he wanted it done in her favorite color, hot pink, a zebra, her favorite animal and he wanted it to say he missed her---
A dear friend just got out of the hospital, here is the card I'm going to send---
A blogger friend wanted me to make a few cards. I know you are probably tired of seeing tear bears, this will be the last one...until the next one---
She wanted an A2 card like I sent my mom a while back, so if it looks like you've seen it before, it is because you have. It's an A2 version rather the the 5x5 that I sent my mom---
She also wanted a Halloween card for her grandson to give his teacher. It's been a while since I've done a topper and thought this would work---
My brother in law retired on his birthday...what better time to wish him not only a happy birthday and a happy retirement, but a happy everything---
And while I'm posting the cards since my last posting, I thought I'd also post these cards I did awhile ago but just haven't posted them---
That's it for now. Again...since this is just a large posting, I didn't post any information but If you need the recipe or supplies I used, please don't hesitate to email me. I'll try to visit my favorite blogs this weekend to see what everyone's been up to. Til next time, enjoy your day and have a great weekend!
