Twin Boys!

Good Morning Everyone! Just a quick posting to let everyone know I'm still alive! We are losing our butts here in Biloxi but having such a good time! We have managed to visit and spread our losses over all of the casinos!

Many of you know that we are expecting twins in August. We found out last night that we will be the proud grandparents of twin boys! I think my son was a little disappointed but I am thrilled. Knowing what I put my parents through as a teenager, I was telling my daughter in law the night before we left that I was hoping for boys. She is doing well but is so HUGE! With 4 months to go, she looks as big as what she was when she delivered Kenny Michael.

Just a little reminder...for those of you that have either left comments here on my blog or on my guestbook requesting information...I can't answer you if you don't leave an email address!

I haven't been able to visit my favorite blogs since we have been gone. The internet connection here is SO slow. I miss you all and will make sure I visit you when we get home to see what you've been up to. Better run for now...I hope you are having a great week! I'll see you when we get back!

I know I am late posting this morning, we didn't get to bed until the wee hours of the morning and it felt sooooooooo good to sleep in! Here is a little card that I think I'll send to my mom. I used my Prisma Markers and I know I still have a way to go but I'm lovin' the brightness of the markers and I'm going to keep trying---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: A2

After I posted this, I realized I forgot to color the stem of the flower that the little hedgie was holding so I'm going to do that before I send it out and I thought I'd add a little bit of glitter to the flowers too.

Happy Retirement...Again!

Good Morning and Happy Humpday to you! Whew...what a week it has been. We said our goodbyes to my Aunt, my cousin and my mom yesterday. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Several weeks ago, my husband learned his previous boss, Bob would be retiring at the end of the month. Even though my husband was forced to retire because of his bad back and the surgery he had last June, he stays in contact with the people he worked with for 3o+ years. Bob had retired in November of 1998. Because of some bad decisions made by the management that replaced him, the company went through some severe financial difficulties. The investors asked Bob to come out of retirement to resume his previous position. Now that the company is back on solid ground, Bob has decided to make his retirement permanent. This is the card I made for him. I used The Cutting Cafe's Happy Retirement Huge Circle as the main focal point then added the computer generated circle with his dates of service and the word "Again"---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 5"x5" Square
Stamps/Image: Cutting Cafe-Happy Retirement Huge Circle
Nestibilities: Circle, Square
Font: Computer Generated-Constantia
Accessories: Brads, Embroidery Floss, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for today. Thank for stopping by! I'm taking the day off tomorrow so I won't be back until Friday, hope to see you then. Enjoy your day!

What's The Word BIRD?/ One More Friggin' Candle

Good Morning All...I see I've got a couple new followers and want to welcome them to my blog. I hope you enjoy your visits as much as I enjoy you visiting! I hope you had a great weekend! My cousin, who I haven't seen in more than 30 years was in town so we spent a good bit of our weekend with him, his wife along with my aunt, (his mom) and my mom. My youngest son, daughter-in-law and grandson also joined us. He had a really nice weekend!
I'm lovin' all of the Copic Markers, Prisma Markers and ProMarkers people have been using lately and since I bought a set of Prismas very early on I decided to give them ANOTHER try...well, I STILL can't get the hang of it...but I'm going to keep trying. Right now, I am working with the 48 color set which is a little limiting but I do have a complete set ordered and should receive them on Wednesday. I am hopeful with the whole set, it will improve the technique. I wasn't even going to post this card today but decided maybe someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong and give me some helpful hints. I can't seem to get the coloring even and it's blotchy especially in the shaded areas. The markers seem to pick up the ink from the image outline. So here it is...I'm open to some constructive criticism...so please, this is not the time to be kind, I really want your advice---

Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 4.25x4.25 note card
Prisma Markers
Stamps/Image: Angels Landing Digital Stamps-Aussie Animals

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again tomorrow! Enjoy your day! I'm going to try to stop by all of my favorite blogs this morning but will be on the run today so if I don't get to you this morning, I'll stop by tonight...I haven't forgotten you, I've been busy with my out of town family!

Good Morning! I looked at the calendar this morning and thought OMG, Mother's Day is next month and I hadn't even given it the first thought so that is what prompted today card. It's for my mom. I found the saying on the Internet and thought it would be perfect with the flowers. The background paper is muted but looks washed out because of the lighting and looks better in real life. G Is For Graduate

Hello...Again! Woo Hoo my 2nd post for the day...Here are a couple of cards I made for my granddaughters in Tennessee for graduation. Back when I was a kid, we didn't celebrate graduation until we finished high school but I guess now days they celebrate moving to the next grade...anyway they do in Tennessee. I used both of the shaped cards in the file from The Cutting Cafe G-Shaped Card Set...The G Shaped Card and The G Folded Card along with the sentiments that come in the set. I thought this was a perfect time to use Go Kreates Boo Bear. I also used my BossKut for the graduation caps and diplolma. They didn't phograph well, they were really washed out, so I had to darken them a bit which made Boo much darker than he is in real life---
This one is for Kayli, she will be going into the 5th grade---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 4"X5" (without Boo)
Template: Cutting Cafe-G Shaped Card-Sentiment Include
Image: Go Kreate-Boo On His Bums
Die Cuts: BossKut-Graduation Cap and Diplolma
Accessories: Ribbon, Rain Dot, Craft Ink, Foam Pop Dots

And this one is for Chloe who will be going into 1st grade--- Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 4"x5 3/8"
Template: Cutting Cafe-G Folded Card-Sentiment Include
Image: Go Kreate-Boo For You
Nestibilities: Circle/scallop
Die Cuts: BossKut-Graduation Cap and Diplolma
Accessories: Ribbon, Rain Dot, Craft Ink, Foam Pop Dots
Thanks for stopping by. I won't be posting tomorrow, I hope to see you on Thursday! Enjoy you day!

Just Saying Hello

Good Morning Everyone. I hope you had a nice weekend and a wonderful Easter. We had lovely weather, it was a perfect day for Sunrise Service at Sea World which has become a tradition for us and a perfect day for an egg hunt in the park for the kids. Here's a super easy card I made with The Cutting Cafe House Shaped Template and The All Occasion Circle Word Set 3 also from The Cutting Cafe . I love shaped cards but always thought they were something other people did. Regina over at The Cutting Cafe has made it so easy with all of the layers that go together so perfectly. I used craft ink to make a faux wood finish on the cardstock and added THAT Stampin' Up bird punch that I just HAD to have but after getting it, I asked myself...WHY...what was I thinking! Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Measures 5.5 x 4
Template: Cutting Cafe-House Shaped Card
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-All Occasion Circle Word Set 3
Punch: Stampin Up-2 Step Bird Punch
Accessories: Craft Ink, Black Gel Pen, Foam Pop Dots

We're excited over at The Cutting Cafe, Regina has added a Video Team to our Design Team. I don't know about you but it helps me when I can SEE a project being made rather than just reading about it. Help me welcome the newest members---

Joanne
There have been several videos already added so...check it out!

Thanks for stopping by...Have a great day! I'll see you, when I see you!

And now an update...The Space Shuttle Discovery just blasted off for the mission to the International Space Station...AWESOME! We are about 50 miles away, not only could we SEE it from the comfort of our home but for the first time EVER...we FELT it. I have seen many space lift offs in my days of living in Florida but none can even compare to this one...I am still in awe!

Bunny Hugs

Good Morning Everyone! I know I said yesterday that I wouldn't be posting today because I've got too much going on to take time out for crafting but here's a card I did last week for my friend Gigi that I forgot to post. I used The Cutting Cafe Bunny Shaped Template but instead of making a shaped card, I re sized the shape, making it smaller so I could put it on an A2 card. I just love that bunny! I also used The Cutting Cafe's Easter Sentiments---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: A2
Template: Cutting Cafe-Bunny Shaped Template

Cuttlebug: Heart Die
Punch: Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Border
Accessories: Ribbon, Brads, Flat Back Pearls, Craft Ink, Embroidery Floss
