Thanks From The Heart

Good Morning...Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! As for me, it was just a lazy one, didn't do too much of anything!

I had fun making this card, anytime I can use PINK, it's fun! The Stampin' Up image was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then layered on a tag Nestibility and a tiny bit of glitter was added to the flower and the bows in the girls hair. The background layer is embossed with Quickutz Diamond and Dots embossing folder then added a ribbon bow and put it on the base card that was cut with Martha Stewart Thanks edge punch then added 3/4" piece of white cardstock to the inside of the base to make up the difference that the edge punch had cut off. The larger hearts were were cut with the smallest Cuttlebug 2x2 Heart then layered with a smaller heart that was cut with Cuttlebug Typewriter Alphabet die and a rainhearts added.

That's it for today, thanks for stopping by, if you haven't already, leave a comment to let me know what you think I hope to see you back tomorrow, have a great day!

BOO!

Good Morning and Happy Friday! Come on in...Take a look around and don't forget if you see something that you like, please take a moment to leave me a comment! If you see something that you don't understand, please don't sit there and spend DAYS trying to figure it out as my good buddy Gail did...post me a comment with your email address and I'll get back with you! I've had several inquires the last few days where they didn't leave their email address and I assure you that I'm NOT ignoring you, I simply have no way of getting back to you. If you feel uncomfortable leaving your email address for everyone to see, AFTER you post a comment you can email me @ mailto:knmic1012@aol.com I'm pretty good about getting right back with you, so please don't be shy, I welcome your questions and am happy to share what knowledge I have with you!

Today's card is pretty simple, I glued a circle cut with a Nestibility to the card stock, then stamped a tree from Inkadinkdoo and glued googly eyes to it. I seen this on Donna's blog---
http://donnamundinger-popsicletoes.blogspot.com/ and thought it was SO cute, I just had to copy the idea. The only suitable tree I had, had birds on it so I covered them up with the eyes (I hope it's not too noticeable) . I added a bat with gold colored gemstone and BOO! that were cut with the Cuttlebug 3inch Halloween die. The edges were inked and layered it to the digital "BOO" background paper from The Cutting Cafe---
http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/ The sign post is a digital stamp from All That Scraps---http://www.allthatscraps.com/ and was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then cut out and glue together then added to the background paper. The pumpkins were cut from the Cuttlebug 3inch Halloween die that yellow paper was added to the back so the eyes would "shine" through and the stems were colored with a Sharpie pen.

That's it for today, have a great day, I will see you on Monday...enjoy your weekend!

Happy 1st Birthday

Good Morning Everyone! Thank you for stopping by to visit today. Here is a fun little card I made for a customer's great grandson's 1st birthday, I hope she likes it.

I printed the image then glued it on another piece of card stock to add thickness then colored it with Prisma pencils and OMS, and cut it out. The image was pop dotted on a circle/scallop Nestibility that the words were computer generated using Doodle Print font. I added fun flock to the pads of his feet and glitter to the rose on his head. The image can be found on line---
http://www.art4crafts.com/files6/html/patterns.php
The party hats that were added to the scalloped layer were cut with the Cuttlebug 3 inch Party die. The metallic background layer was embossed with the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder. The balloons were cut with Cuttlebug Birthday die set that craft yarn was attached to. The tag was cut then layered with the 1 from Cuttlebug Baby Face alphabet. A ribbon bow was added. All of the cuts done with Cuttlebug were card stock that 2 or 3 pieced were glue together before cutting to add dimension.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit. Please take a momment to leave me a comment. See you tomorrow, have a great day!

A Beary Scary Halloween

Good Morning Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit. For all of you that have have been kind enough to leave comments, thank you so much, you have no idea what they mean to me. Your comments are really a source of inspiration to me!

You know how I just LOVE Boo On His Bums by Go Kreates so I couldn't resist making him for Halloween for my granddaughter. Instead of the middle piece I cut the jack-O-lantern from Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge, lightly inked the edges then put him on the BOO background paper from the Cutting Cafe---http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/
that I also inked the edges. The bat, spider and Boo! were cut from Cuttlebug 3inch Halloween die that I attached a strand of floss to the spider and flat back gems to the bat. Computer generated words using Credit Valley font was cut with the tag from Spellbinders then secured with a couple of brads. I used a Stampin' Up word window punch that I added alpha beads for her name.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great day and I will see you tomorrow!

Let It Snow

Good Morning! Thanks for taking the time to stop by to visit. While you are here, won't you take a moment to leave me a comment. Your comments mean more to me than you will ever know! This weekend, I was going through some of my stamps and realized, yeah, my husband is probably right, I don't use a fraction of what I've got. This Penny Black stamp is just another example, I got it at Christmas time and it has never touched the ink pad so I thought I'd do something with it today.

The image was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS. I wanted to put it on a rectangle Nestibility but the image was a bit larger than I had thought so I went with the tag Nestibilities but had a problem there too. I wanted to emboss the Nestibility but it didn't stay in the die. I thought I could line it up but when I did the embossing it was slightly off so I ended up cutting the image out and popping it on the image that I stamped again. Has anyone else had a problem with the shape not staying in the Nestibility die? I wonder if I have a defective set and should contact Spellbinders. I really like the effect of the embossed layer. As it turned out, it wasn't a total loss and I guess I like the popped image. A little a bit of glitter was added to the snowman. The background layer was embossed with Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder. I added a few stars for the snowflakes that were cut from the 3inch Christmas tree die and added tiny flat back pearls to the center along with some rain dots. The words are computer generated using CK Wonderland font.

That's it for today, thanks for stopping by, will see you tomorrow. Until then Happy Crafting!

All Aboard

Good Morning Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! We had the pleasure of sharing the birthday celebration of a very special friend on Saturday. Good food and great friends...it just doesn't get any better! Here is the card I had made for him. He is a train enthusiast so it was easy to decide what the theme should be. I really had fun making this card for such a special friend.

The image from Mo's Digital Pencil http://digitalpenciltoo.com/ was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then cut with a circle/scallop Nestibility using the out of the frame technique and glitter added to the smoke stack. I pierced holes in the 2nd layer of the circle Nestibility with a paper piercer. Although the picture doesn't really show it, there are 4 layer so there's a lot of pop dotting going on. The 1st layer is the entire image, the 2nd layer is the train engine with the smoke from the stack, the 3rd layer is just the train engine and the 4th layer is the number that was computer generate then cut with the smallest Nestibility and embossed then the edge lightly inked. The All Aboard was cut with Cuttlebug Baby Face alphabet that several layers of card stock were glue together before cutting to add dimention to the lettering. The Palm Express was computer generated using Credit Valley font and cut with a Stampin' Up window word punch.

Thanks for stopping by, if you haven't already, leave a comment to let me know what you think! Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Thinking Of You Today

Happy Friday! Since it's going to be a busy Friday for me, just a quickie today!

The background layer was embossed with the Cuttlebug With Love embossing border set and Swiss Dot embossing folder and added some ribbon and flat back pearls. The sentiment is from a card that I had received years ago and decided to recycle. I cut it with a circle Nestibility and layered in on a circle/scallop Nestibility, glittered the butterfly trail and added a couple butterflies that I cut with Martha Stewart 3 butterfly punch and added a flat back pearls.
Thanks for stopping by...have a fantastic weekend! See you on Monday!

Wecome To The Farm-Digital Delight New Release

I'm back, as promised!
This is the card I did for Digital Delights new release---
http://digitaldelightsbyloubyloo.wordpress.com/
I had a tough time with this one, we were to use 3 images. I used Farmer Billy, Henry the Horse and Charlie the Cow. They were colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then placed in a pasture of grass cut with Cricut Plantin cartridge. The sky was done using the clip art CD from Darcie at Sunshine Graphics that I had mentioned in a previous posting. The fence was cut with Martha Stewart Border punch. Words were computer generated.
As always, thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

You Little Devil

Good Morning Everyone! I'm so happy you took the time to stop by today. It amazes me that so many of you stop by on a regular basis but never leave a comment. I'd really love to hear from you so please take a moment to say hello!

Today's card is for my grandson and it really very simple. The image and sentiment is a digital image from All That Scraps---http://www.allthatscraps.com/
The face was colored with Prisma pencil and OMS. Since I have trouble coloring a large area with red and black pencils, I colored the body with Sharpie pens, then layered it on a rectangle/scallop Nestibility. The pitchfork was done with Cricut Design Studio using the George cartridge. The background layer is also digital and can be purchased from The Cutting Cafe---
http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/
If you haven't been to the Cutting Cafe before, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Regina has a slew of images for every occasion you can think of at VERY reasonable prices. The spiders were cut from Cuttlebug 3 inch Halloween die with googly eyes added and floss attached. I added alpha beads (you know how kids like to see their names on cards) to a window word punch from Stampin' Up, then added a ribbon knot.

If you are visiting before 10:00 EDT, make sure you stop back when I will revel the rest of the card that I posted a sneak peek on Tuesday for a new release at Digital Delights.

Don't forget, if you have any questions, be sure to leave your email address so I will know how to get back in touch with you!
Today's card is really fast and simple. The heart and key is a Spellbinder die that I cut from metallic paper, pop dotted and attached it to designer paper with a brad, layered it to metallic paper then attached it to the base card. The sentiment is computer generated using AtLast Greeting and Credit Valley font, then cut with a circle/scallop Nestibility. The corners were cut with Cuttlebug corners. Doesn't get much simpler than that!
Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow-have a wonderful day!

Ve Vant To Vish You A Happy Halloween

Good Morning! Just a really quick card this morning, I've got a busy morning and don't really have time for crafting.
This is for my youngest grandaughter, Bella, and I will probably end up re-doing it since I'm really not happy with the background paper. Because I am in such a hurry this morning I really didn't have the time to spend looking for something more suitable. The digital image is from All That Scraps---
http://www.allthatscraps.com/
and was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then layered on a circle/scallop Nestibility that the words were computer generated and alpha beads were added. I couldn't decide what this image was suppose to be, was it a girl with ponytails or was it a cat head on a body, so I made it to be a girl with ponytails and added some craft yarn bows. The bats, spider and Boo were cut from Cuttlebug Halloween die, adding some floss to the spider and gemstones to the bats. That's it for now, I may be back a little later but if not---have a great day and thanks for stopping by

We Have A Guest Designer...Sort of...

Hello again bloggers! I want to share with you all a card that Gail, from Newquay, Cornwall UK did after she contacted me for instructions on how to leave a portion of the image outside the Nestibility. So often when you give instructions you rarely see the outcome so I was really pleased that she had taken the time to send me a picture. She doesn't have a blog so I asked her permission to post it here. If this card is any indication of the work she does, we really need to convince her that she needs to start a blog so we can all enjoy her work. I absolutly love her card, she did such a great job with it. Not only does her card make me want to get some Magnolia stamps but yet another set of Nestibilities! Thanks for sharing your card with us Gail, it is a real treat!.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star...

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you have a great weekend! Thank you for choosing to to spend a little time with me today, I'm so happy you stopped by.

Here's a little card I did this morning using a Penny Black image that I colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then layered it on a circle scallop Nestibility then punched holes in one of the layers with a paper piercer. The band was cut with an EK arrow border punch and added a ribbon. The sentiment was computer generated then cut with Spellbinder tag. I added a few stars that were cut with Cuttlebug snowflake die and added the corners that were cut with Cuttlebug corner die.

It would be SO nice if you would leave me a comment or sign my guestbook and don't forget, if you have any questions, be sure to leave your email address so I will know how to get back in tounch with you. Have a great day and I hope to see you tomorrow!

Hope Your Day Is A Hoot

Happy Friday!
Here is a little card I did with the owl die from Go Kreates. I love those dies, they cut so nice and unlike Cuttlebug or Sizzix, each piece cuts individually. I layered the owl on an oval Nestibility. The background was cut with Nestibility deckled edge then layered on card stock that was pierced and a ribbon knot was added then adhered to the base card. The flowers were cut with Cuttlebug flower die and gemstones added to the center then layered on Sizzix leaves die. The words are computer generated and 2 little raindots were added to the O's
That's all I have for you today, Hope you have a great weekend and I'll see you on Monday!

DREAM

Good Morning Bloggers! I'm so happy you stopped by to visit today. Come on in and take a look around, stay as long as you'd like!
My craft room is set up with one very small corner for my husband...or whoever wants to visit. He stops by occasionally to have a cup of coffee or play a game on his laptop. Last week, I was doing what I do best...shopping on line when he came to visit. I was looking at the Sizzix line when he asked me about the Sizzix Love Letters. I told him I already had those and he asked me if I used them...well...NO...not yet. I guess I was feeling kinda guilty so I thought I would put them to use and I cut the letters out. They have laid around for more than a week, but I must have picked them up a zillion times to "do something" with them. I would start something and my mind would go blank so I would set them aside. I was spending WAY to much time with these and was getting SO tired of looking at them that I decided TODAY is the day, I was going to do something with them right or wrong and be done with them once and for all! So here it is---
I stamped the Inkadinkadoo butterfly image twice on designer paper then heat embossed them using silver embossing powder. I cut one of the butterflies out and pop dotted it on the image that I cut out and layered on a circle/scallop Nestibility that I used a gel pen to dot the scallops. I added a ribbon knot and put that on a piece of designer paper and put in on the background layer. The letters were cut from Sizzix Love Letters twice offset them to give a shadow effect, put them on a piece of designer paper then on a band and adhered it it the background layer. There...I'm done with it, I don't have to look at it anymore and now can play with the order I received yesterday!
Thanks for stopping by, take a moment to leave me a comment to let me know you were here! Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Good Morning! Here's a couple of Halloween cards that I did this morning. This 1st one is kinda cheesy but I guess I needed to do something to get me into the Halloween SPIRIT (just a little play on words), so for the good or bad of it here it is---the image is from Penny Black and was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then layered on circle/scallop Nestibilities. The spider web on the background paper was done using a clip art disc that I purchased ages ago from Darcie. It is the Holiday Treasures disc and MAY still be available. It has real value for your buck---448 images for $6.95, although I had gotten the 5 disc set for $19.95 but 2 of the discs has since been sold out. Here is the link---
http://www.sunshinegraphics.com/
The sentiment also came from that disc along with the spiders on the web, that I added poms and googly eyes to the larger spider.

This next one is for my dear granddaughter Chloe who will be 5 years old next month. The image is also from Penny Black that was colored with Prisma pencils and layered on a circle/scallop Nestibility then a little glitter added to the pumpkin, glossy accents added to the spider and pierced the scallops with a paper piercer. The background paper was embossed with Sizzix Birthday embossing folder, the band was cut with Martha Stewart Fence punch and a ribbon bow was added. The tag was cut from a Spellbinders tag that the words were computer generated. I added a Stampin' Up word punch and added letter beads that were purchased from Michael's. The BOO was cut from Cuttlebug Baby Face Alphabet that googly eyes were added. That's all I have for you today...I'm SO glad you stopped by today. Take a moment to leave me a comment so I know you came for a visit. You know how much your comments mean to me! See you tomorrow...Have a WONDERFUL day!

Wuf You

Good Morning Bloggers...I'm So happy that you stopped by today. Won't you take just a moment to leave me a comment or sign my guestbook to let me know you dropped by.

I was going through my stash over the weekend and come across this cute little puppy. I don't remember what I had made him for, it was either Christmas or Valentine's Day but for whatever reason I didn't use him so I thought I'd put him on a card today. I got the image on line and the best part is it's FREE! Here is the link---
http://www.art4crafts.com/files6/graphics/print/patterns/animals/dogcr2b.gif
He was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then cut out. I popped dotted him on a piece of sorta square cardstock that had computer generated words and paper piercing then added a ribbon knot. The background paper is from Making Memories. I added a band and 2 little hearts that were cut from Cuttlebug Hearts.

That's it for today-hope to see you tomorrow! Don't forget...leave me a comment or sign my guestbook! Have a great day!

A little glitter was added to the flowers and a bow was added. The background layer was embossed with Sizzix Flowers embossing folder. The sentiment was computer generated and also cut with the EK dotted scallop edge punch. Have A MICE Day

Good Morning and Happy Friday! Thanks for stopping by and if you would, take just a moment to leave me a comment to let me know you stopped by. You know how I LOVE to hear what you have to say!

Here is a little card I did this morning using one of my favorite Penny Black stamps. The image was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then layered on a circle/scallop Nestibility and punched with a paper piercer. The background layer was embossed with Sizzix Flowers and Dots embossing folders. The sentiments was computer generated then cut with a deckle edge Nestibility and the word MICE was cut with Cuttlebug Baby Face alphabet. I guess I wasn't awake this morning because I put the word on the card stock BEFORE I cut deckle edge not even thinking when I embossed it, it would smash the word into the card stock. So what it did was countersink it into the card stock making it even with the paper. Oh well, I won't do that again but I'm OK with the over all effect card. I added a little glitter and punched 2 butterflies with the Martha Stewart 3 butterfly punch and added a flat back pearl. I used Core'dination card stock and lightly sanded the embossed areas.

I'm going to have a busy weekend starting NOW so if you have any questions, I may not get back with you right away as I usually do, please be patient and know that I WILL get back with you just as soon as I can! Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you on Monday!

Flat back pearls were added along with Stickles. The dots in the upper corner were cut from Cuttlebug party die with flat back pearls added. A ribbon was added to the middle. Thank You With All Of Our Heart

It's Me Again! My husband's sister and husband took us to dinner on Monday so I thought I would hit 2 mice with one stone by making them a Thank You card and by showing how I finish the inside of my cards. Last week my good Blogger friend Theresa asked me how I finished the inside of my cards. Since I don't finish them until I'm ready to send it out and this one is ready to go I thought I would post it. It's got 4 of my favorites...1) It's PINK, 2) My favorite embossing folder-Love Language, 3) My favorite House Mouse stamp and 4) My favorite edge punch, Martha Stewart Valentine Lace which by the way, I have cussed since the day I got it. I had always had difficulty punching even thin card stock until I was reading Sue Nelson's of Heartprints message board the other day---http://www.heartprints.net/wwwboard/list.php?f=1when her buddy Kay had responded to a question that another reader had posted about problems with some of the Martha Stewart punches, she suggested that you start out on a hard surface and then push down on the handle with one hand, while pushing down on the body of the punch with the other. I tried it and it worked! Not only on thin card stock but even Bazzill!Anyway...here is the recipe for the front of the card---The House Mouse was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then layered on a heart/scallop Nestibility. The background layer was embossed with Cuttlebug Love Language embossing folder. Ribbon was added to the band that was cut with the Martha Stewart Valentine Lace edge punch and little bit of glitter was added to the heart that the mouse is holding. Words are computer generated.
For the inside---Of course the words are computer generated, then cut the top and bottom with the Martha Stewart Valentine Lace edge punch, and added 2 hearts cut with the small and medium Marvy heart punch.
For the back---words are computer generated then cut with a circle/scallop Nestibility and 2 hearts that were cut from the Martha Stewart Valentine Lace edge punch were glittered and added to the open space in the circle.
Thanks for stopping by, I'd love to hear what you think so please leave me a comment!

Sending Hugs and Kisses and Get Well Wishes

Good Morning All! Hope everyone is doing great. Today's card is very simple. It was a little difficult to photograph, I used Core'dination paper and it has a bit of a sheen to it so it washes out the print of the sentiment but in real life it looks better. The words are computer generated and cut with a heart/scallop Nestibility then layred on a circle/scallop Nestibility that has been embossed with Sizzix Dots and lightly sanded. The background layers are also done with Core'dination paper, part embossed with Sizzix Dots and part embossed with Sizzix Flowers. Added the scallop edge that was cut with Martha Stewart scallop lace edge punch and a ribbon bow. Hope you enjoy your visit, Have a wonderful day!

Good Morning Bloggers! I'm so happy you stopped and hope you enjoy your visit. Please leave me a comment so that I know you were here. If you like the color purple, today's card is for YOU!
I started with the loveable Boo On His Bums by Go Kreate then layered him (or her as the case may be...only because I made her in PINK!) on a heart/scallop Nestibility that has been embossed with the dot embossing folder of the new Sizzix Flowers and Dots embossing folders, then layered that on the flower embossing folder and added a ribbon bow. The paper is Core'dination card stock that was lightly sanded to bring out the inner lavender layer. The words are computer generated and cut with a Spellbinders tag that was secured with mini heart brads. I used the Cuttlebug Baby Face Alphabet for the word "Beary"That's all I have for you today, thanks for stopping by...see you tomorrow! I hope you enjoy your day!

Thank You For Being So Mice

Good Morning Everyone. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. We spend Saturday at Epcot. This was our first venture out since my husband's surgery and he felt like he had been run over by a Mack truck yesterday so we won't be doing that again anytime soon. We saw a tribute bank to U2, called 2U. They were great! Not only did they look the part but they sounded just like U2.

Today's card didn't turn out anything like I wanted it to...does that sound familiar to anyone? After I stamped the image and choose the colors, I realized the image was too large for that I wanted to do with it but I wanted to post it anyway. The image is from Penny Black and it was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS then layered on a circle/scallop Nestibility. The background layer is embossed with the Sizzix Dots and Flower folder set, which is new to me so you will probably be seeing it a lot this week. The sentiment was computer generated then cut with a deckled edge Nestibility. The word "mice" was cut from Cuttlebug Baby Facel Alphabet die and the spots to each side of the sentiment were cut from Cuttlebug Party die.

That's it for today...Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

This is the backgroud layer I intended to use but the image was too large, so I guess I'll save it for another time.

Beautiful Blogger

Look what I got in my email over the weekend...it's a Beautiful Blogger award from my good blogger friend Julie! I hope she doesn't mind that I changed the color to PINK! If you get a chance, check out her blog and take a moment to congratulate her on making the Design Team for Artful Inkables. She really does some awesome things with colors.
