A Bird Doesn't Sing...

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you've had a good week! We spent the day with our grandson yesterday and what a great day we had. We went to Disney's Animal Kingdom and had perfect weather. We gave him the "woof" card I made him and he was so tickled, he said he loved it...now really what does a 4 year old know about loving a card...lol! I had to laugh because when I asked if the image was a dog or a rabbit, he never did answer me, he only said hmmm!
Here's a really quick card today that I made with my new Sizzix die from Tim Holtz, Caged Bird. I love the die but it's a bit bigger than what I had thought it would be. I teamed it with the famous quite from Maya Angelou---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 5x5 Square
Image: Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Die - Caged Bird
Punch: Martha Stewart Branch
Font: Computer Generated-Juice ITC, Calibri
Accessories: Flat Back Pearl, Mulberry Rose, Craft Ink, Foam Pop Dots
Base Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: K & Company-Classic K Bailey
Other Cardstock: DCWV-Shimmer
That's it for today...Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day and have a wonderful weekend. I hope to see you again Monday!

Beautiful card, Kelly. I love how you printed your sentiment directly on your dp. You are a master at computer generated font use.

Glad it isn't as hot here as other places. Sounds like you had a fun day!

I am glad to hear you had a nice day off with your grandson. You are so lucky to have the Disney theme parks so close to you. I've had my eye on this Sizzix die for awhile and you just convinced me that I just have to have it!!! Everything goes together so well, especially the way you printed directly on the patterned paper.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, Kelly!!!! You did an awesome job putting this together. Wow, really love how that DCWV shimmer cardstock makes the birdcage look "gilded" and how you've added the special touches to it to embellish it. Oh, and that Maya Angelou saying is just so perfect for this! LOVE IT!
