A Few Birthday Cards

Good Morning Everyone...I hope you are having a great week. I've not had a chance to do any crafting this week so I thought I would post a couple of birthday cards that I made a while ago. This first one would have been for my mom. Oh how I miss her...today would have been her 80th birthday. It's been almost a month since she passed and I still have my moments, but I'm working through them. Pretty simple card, I used a EK Edge punch, a circle/scallop Nestibility, added a few sentiment tickets and some flowers---
This next one is for my husbands son. Modeled after a card that my son had done for Father's Day for a girl that works with my daughter in law. The $20 was replaced with a check but I wanted to show you what it looked like with money in the pocket. The pocket and the collar were straight cut, stitched and layered and the buttons are made with a Sizzix die. The sentiment "from our pocket to yours" was computer generated and was my husband's idea---
Here is the one that my son did...I'm sure it was taken with his phone so it's not cropped but he does pretty nice work, wouldn't you say---
That's it for now...I hope to get some crafting time in to work on a few Christmas cards this weekend so be sure to stop back next week...til then, enjoy your day and have a great week!

I am glad to hear that you are working through your mom being gone, it will get easier. She would have loved this card. The papers you used are beautiful. I had to chuckle when I read the sentiment on your husband's son card...too cute! And yes, your son does very nice work, he comes by it naturally!

Very pretty birthday card. Love the layers and the border punch layer, the papers really work together (and then those flowers).

The pocket cards are cute. I like how your son used the brads at the pocket corners and how the true seamstress knew to match her patterns. Great idea for a masculine birthday.

Your Mom's card is beautiful and reflects your love for her. She has to be smiling. The shirt cards are an incredibly great idea! I will be "borrowing" this design for the guys in my life. And the plaid paper could not be more perfect!
