St Patrick's Day...Disney Style

Good Evening...Thanks for stopping by. Here's a couple of St. Patrick's Day cards that I had done awhile back but didn't want to post them until the recipients had a chance to receive them. I had a tough time coming up with something for our Disney friends Kathi and Bob for St Patrick's Day so I decided to do something different and let the paper do the work but I didn't have anything Disney in green soooooooooo I scanned a piece of red, black and white Disney paper then recolored it in Microsoft Word and voila this is what I got...pretty cool huh? This is a tunnel card and even though I've done a few, it's been a long time ago and never one for them---
Here's the inside. You can find the instructions for a tunnel card on SCS by clicking here---
And a spur of the moment card that I had done for my son and daughter in law. The day I was getting my cards ready to be mailed I realized I hadn't made them one so this is what I came up with on short notice--- That's it for now...I will be back tomorrow or Thursday with some Easter cards and a short story to go with it...til then, have a great evening

Kelly, you never cease to disappoint when it comes to coming up with fabulous cards! I love how your Disney card turned out...I am definitely gonna have to try a tunnel card one day too...thanks for the link to the tutorial. And how is it that you can create such a beautiful card at the spur of the moment? Everything about it is so perfect, clean and crisp and I love how you put together so many design elements and make them all work together so beautifully. You are amazing!

Hi Kelly! You know I'm always excited when you post a Disney card, and what a fantastic card this is. I would have never thought to scan and recolor the paper, what a neat idea! Shame on you for forgetting your son and daughter in law, but you made up for it with this awesome card. Both of these are great. I can't wait to see what you come up with for Easter that you haven't already posted.

Another two winners. I have to say the photo of the Disney card does not do it justice. In person the colors are even more vibrant and the hand painting around the oval inside is amazing. The leaves are so delicate and feathery and everything is so 3-dimensional - it couldn't be more perfect. Your "short notice" card is beautiful as well. You just keep going & going & going!

both cards are Awesome, Kelly. Love how you made your own green Mickey paper, so clever!!! I had never heard of a tunnel card before, but very very cool. You always have so many great details on your cards. Love that little green gem mickey. Your son's card is awesome too, can't believe you just threw it together, it takes me forever to make my cards!! Can't wait to see your Easter cards, I'm starting them this weekend-yeah!!
