Happy Fright Night-Cutting Cafe

Good Morning Everyone...Thanks for stopping by! I hope you had a great weekend! We had the pleasure of spending Saturday afternoon crafting and enjoying dinner with our with our good friends Kathi and Bob. She had purchased a Cricut many months ago and was ready to toss it out the window (does THAT sound familiar to anyone) Although I'm not the best one to teach her how to use it, I was able to give her a few pointers. It was so cool to be able to share what knowledge I have with her. I had to smile though, she sent me an email saying she glued the top layer of a card she made to the base upside down. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing...but how many of you have done that? I know I have...more times than I care to admit. I told her that she'll be more careful...til the next time...lol! I made this Halloween card for my husband's son using Halloween Time Printable Stamps from The Cutting Cafe. It is a HUGE file with 55 assorted images and sentiments. The background paper is from K and Company-Tim Coffey Halloween that I cut at 3.75" x 4" then cut into 3 segments and layered and pop dotted them onto another 2 layers before putting it onto the base card. Adding the googly eyes to the tree was an idea that I had gotten from my blogger friend Donna. The house and fence were cut from glossy paper using Spellbinder dies, I had to take the picture without the flash to prevent flashback so it didn't photograph very well especially the glitter on the "moon"---

Here's The Recipe---
Card Size: A2
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-Halloween Time
Nestibilities: Circle
Spellbinder: Halloween Fence Scenes
Cuttlebug: Halloween 3x3 Die
Accessories: Googly Eyes, Glitter, LOTS of Foam Pop Dots
Base Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: K & Company- Tim Coffey-Halloween
Other Cardstock: Best Occasion Glossy

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again real soon! Have a wonderful day!

Oh my word Kelly, this is way too cool! I love the glittery moon and the googly eyes. A great Halloween card for a guy. I had to laugh when I read about Kathi putting the layer on upside down, I just did that last night. I can laugh now but it wasn't funny at the time! I feel her frustration.

That a fantastic card. I love it and Halloween is NOT my favorite time. I have never liked it. You did a great job on this card though. The wriggly eyes and sparkly moon are great. Good Job!!!!!

Kelly - Thanks so much for the instructions. I love the new look to the blog and you already know I LOVE the card. What I didn't tell you about sticking the layer upside-down was that it was PERFECTLY centered (of course that may not be the EXACT truth but since I'm not mailing it to you, you'll never know so we'll go with that). You continue to amaze!
