Good Morning All...Thanks for stopping by! Here is a card I sent to our good friends Kathi and Bob...the Disney enthusiasts. It's a joy fold card that didn't photograph well at all. The paper I used has bits of mica in it that really shows up in the photo making it look grainy, but in real life has a very fine glittery look and the blue layer is a shimmer paper that looks very washed out...not the real color at all. I don't know why sometimes the paper photographs well and sometimes it doesn't...this time it didn't--- Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Joy Fold-4.25 x 4.25
Clip Art
Image: Mickey Clip Art
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-4th of July Frintable Stamp Set 1
Nestibilities: Circle
Cuttlebug: 2x2 Snowflake #2 Die (for the stars)
Accessories: Glitter, Foam Pop Dots
Base Cardstock: Metallic Cryogen White 89lb
Layer Cardstock-DCWV Shimmer Stack
Patterned Paper: Gina K Digital Paper Pack-Stars and Stripes
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by. I'll see you next time enjoy your day!

Kim's Baby Shower
Hello again...I'm back with some pictures of the baby shower. I'm not sure how many people were there, my husband said he guessed about 75 adults and a bunch of kids but I thought there were more. I don't know how long it lasted but it started at 3:00, we were one of the first people to leave at 7:45! A good time was had by all and they feed us well. Kim's brother prepared the food and he makes THE best lasagna. We took a ton of pictures but I won't bore you with more than a few---
Here is the guest of honor...My sweet daughter in law, Kim. Isn't she HUGE. Can you believe she has 6 more weeks to go? Here is my son...Kenny just being Kenny---
My precious grandson, Kenny Michael. He is our little miracle baby, born at 32 weeks weighing 3 pound then dropped down to 2.6. He is still a little guy but smart as a whip. How he giggled when I told him that he was going to be the top banana. He said grandma was a silly goose---

Have A Grape Day
Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend...we sure did! We went to Epcot Friday night and of course the baby shower was Saturday. We had such a good time at the shower and the kids got so many nice gifts. I won 2 prizes! The first for knowing the most about Kenny and Kim...it's a mom's job to be nosey isn't it...lol...and the other for closest guess for how many M & M's in the baby bottle. My guess was 283 and there was 291. I'll be back a little later to post some pictures so be sure to stop back.
My mom asked me to make her a card to send to my uncle (her brother) who is in a nursing home. She was no help with what she wanted and as hard as I tried, I couldn't make her understand that I wanted her to take a look at my blog to give me some idea. She is even more computer illiterate than me (can you believe that) and doesn't know how to access the internet. This is what I came up with...super quick and easy. The image is an oldie but a goodie from The Cutting Cafe. Fruit Greetings comes with 6 images with sentiments---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 4.25"x4.25" Note Card

Accessories: Ribbon, Craft Ink, Heart Charm, Foam Pop Dots

That's it for now but I'll be back a little later to post some pictures from the baby shower. Don't forget about the 2 for 1 special from The Cutting Cafe...You've got until midnight tonight to grab some of the files that you have on you wish list!

Thank You Regina!
Hello Everyone! I usually don't post at night but I had to share with everyone what I received in today's mail!! A few weeks ago the Cutting Cafe Design Team had received an email from our fearless leader Regina, asking who wanted to extend their term with The Cutting Cafe. I was a little hesitant because I have been having medical problems due to a medication I have been taking for the last 5-6 years for my osteoporosis. When I shared my concerns about not be able to fulfill my commitment, not only was Regina very understanding but I truly felt appreciated for the job I have done for her. As many of you know, I am still fairly new at this card making venture and only make cards for family and friends. I'm not in it for fame or fortune, I am in it for the fun of it...and she has made it just that! She has been there at every turn with nothing but words of encouragement and praise. I have grown since I have been on her team and I truly feel blessed to be part of the Design Team for The Cutting Cafe! The card was made using The Sun Shaped Card Template and is one of my all time favorite cards that Regina has designed. You can see the video of her making it here. Trust me when I say that the photo does not do this card justice...it is even more GORGEOUS in real life! When I read what she had written inside, it brought tears to my eyes knowing the words were genuine and came from her heart. She is truly a beautiful person inside and out and you will never find a more thoughtful person than Regina Easter! Thank you Regina, I will cherish this card as a reminder of your kindness...you will probably never know how much it means to me or what a positive influence you have had on me.
Changito's Happy 4th of July
Good Morning All...Thanks for stopping by. Here's a 4th of July card I did for my 3 year old grandson. I used the Star Shaped Template from The Cutting Cafe and 4th of July Printable Stamp Set 1 also from The Cutting Cafe for the sentiments. The image is the ever lovable Changito from Stampendous. I don't recall the name of the set but it's the same set I used for St. Patrick's Day but I masked the clover so he could hold the flag. No matter how hard I try to look beyond the clover to see the flag, I still see the clover. When I was putting the image on the circle, I sort of bent the image so rather than doing it over, I added the craft yarn bow to hide it. My grandson is a little monkey himself so I'm sure he'll love it---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Approx 5.75 x 5.75
Prisma Markers
Card Template: Cutting Cafe-Star Shaped Card
Stamp/Image: Stampendous
Sentiments: Cutting Cafe-4th of July-Set 1

Accessories: Glitter, Flat Back Pearls, Craft Yarn, Gem Star Button, Toothpick, Foam Pop Dots
Base Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: DCWV Shimmer Stack, Gina K Digital Paper Pack-Stars and Stripes
That's it for today, I hope to see you again tomorrow til then, enjoy your day!

Twins-Twice The Fun
Good Morning Everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by...I hope you had a wonderful weekend! My daughter-in-law's baby shower is this Saturday...this is the card I made for her. I used The Cutting Cafe's Twins Printable Stamp set for the circle and the TWICE the fun sentiment. The base card is 5"x5" but I cut the front flap at 4" to expose the back of the inside and to make room for the edge punch...and oh yeah...I brought my Copics out of hiding to color the faces of the babies and paper pieced the jammies to match the inside of the card---
That's it for today. I'm no longer going to say that I will see you tomorrow, I will close by saying, thanks for stopping by...I will see you when I see you...have a great day!

The 3 Bear's 4th of July
Good Morning Everyone! Thanks for stopping by! Here are a few 4th of July cards I did for my 3 granddaughters in Tennessee. I never thought I'd say it but I don't think I want to see Boo for a while. Last year when Donna had done Leah's Baby Shower invitations she remarked (her words) "Bo is exhausted from overuse and plans to retire for awhile." "Trust me, no matter how much you like a design, 26 is a lot of one thing to make." I couldn't understand it at the time but after making 5 cards using Boo in the last 2 weeks, I fully understand what she meant...I cannot imagine making 26! So he will go into hibernation for a while---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: A2
Image: Go Kreate-Boo The Bear, Boo On His Bums, Boo For You, Summertime Boo
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop, Petite Oval/Scallop
Cuttlebug: 2x2 Snowflake #2 Die (for stars on hat)

That's it for today. Thanks again for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit. I'll be taking some time off, at this time, I am uncertain how long I will be out of commission....so make sure you check in on me from time to time to see when I'm up and running again. I will however continue to check out my favorite blogs to see what everyone is up to. Enjoy your day and have a great week, I will see you when I see you!

Simply Said From The Heart...Thank You
Good Morning Everyone...Thanks for stopping by! Here's a quick little Thank You card from my husband to my son and daughter in law for his birthday gift. Yes...we FINALLY got together this weekend to celebrate his birthday and Mother's Day. It was the first time we had seen them since our trip to Biloxi and she looks like she is bursting at the seams!! She will never make it til August 19th. She had a sonogram last week and the babies are doing fine. They weigh more now than my grandson when he was born. One weighs 3.1 lbs and the other weighs 3.4 lbs. We got to see actual pictures of them and one looks just like my grandson and they both already have a head of hair! Anyway here is the card we are going to send them---Here is the recipe---
Card Size: 4.25"x4.25" Note Card

Another Cutting Cafe Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template
Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Here's the last of my Father's Day cards...I promise! It's for our good friend Eduardo (Gigi's husband). I used the Cutting Cafe's Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template Shaped Cards but didn't use the tie. I hand stitched around the base, off center up the middle of the base and the collar, then added buttons to make it look like a sport shirt. Had I thought about it, I should have added some stitches for the buttonholes but didn't think of it till just now---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Approx. 4"x5"
Card Template: Cutting Cafe-Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template Shaped Cards
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-Huge Father's Day Circle
Nestibilities: Circle
Accessories: Buttons, Embroidery Floss, Foam Pop Dots
Patterned Paper: DCWV-At Home
In this case, I used the patterned paper as the base card. The collar is part of the shirt and is cut as one piece then adhered to the inside left panel of the base card and folded over the top front to form the collar. The paper used for the collar, pocket, and layers around the sentiments is plain card stock from my stash and have no idea who's it is.

Happy Father's Day-Enjoy Your Special Day
Good Morning and Happy Friday! I hope you've had a great week and ready to enjoy the weekend! Here's a couple of Father's Day cards that I made for my sons using the Cutting Cafe's Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template Shaped Cards. It comes with 2 shaped card templates, a shirt and tie shaped card and just a tie shaped card and both have matching envelopes. This first is for my youngest son Kenny. I used the shirt and tie template. It's pretty much like the one I made for my father-in-law without the stitching and the colors flipped. I'm not real happy with the photo, it looks like the colors are washed out and kind of blend together...kind of blah but in real life it really looks much better---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Approx. 4"x5"
Card Template: Cutting Cafe-Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template Shaped Cards
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-Huge Father's Day Circle
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Accessories: Buttons, Embroidery Floss, Foam Pop Dots
Patterned Paper: DCWV-La Creme
In this case, I used the patterned paper as the base card. The collar is part of the shirt and is cut as one piece then adhered to the inside left panel of the base card and folded over the top front to form the collar.
This next one is for my oldest son, Kevin. It's the same Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template Shaped Cards but instead of the shirt and tie, I used the tie shaped card. Not only did I want his to be different but his birthday is next month so I will probably be using the shirt and tie then. I shaved off a tiny sliver of the bottom so it would stand by itself and I know in the picture the outer layer of the Nestibility around the sentiment looks off centered but it's really not, it must be the angle of the camera. I'm not doing too well taking pictures today am I...lol!
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Approx. 4"x5"

Nestibilities: Circle
Accessories: Foam Pop Dots
Patterned Paper: DCWV-At Home, DCWV-Shimmer (tie shadow/outer layer of Nestibility)
That's it for today. I have things to do, places to go, and people to see this morning so I won't have a chance to visit my favorite blogs til later in the day, but I'll catch up with you either this afternoon or tonight to see what you've been up to. Happy Birthday To My Special Friend
Good Morning Everyone...I hope you are having a great week. Why is it that when we have a short week...it always seems so long? My good blogger friend, Lorene asked me to make card for her friend that is turning 80 next week. She wanted it like the one I made for my father in law's 92nd birthday except in PINK! Because I am really pressed for time, I wasn't able to do the stitching which made the upper right hand corner look bare so I added some pearls. I hope she likes it---
