Good Morning Everyone...Happy Hump Day! I'm so glad you dropped by, I hope you enjoy your visit!
Last week when I did my neighbors sympathy card, I had cut several of the lattice cards using Linda Davis of the Cricut Message Board cut file using The George cartridge. I decided to use it for today's card. Because the base was already cut, it was really quick to put together. The background paper is The Butterfly Kisses Background Stamp from The Cutting Cafe that was re colored and printed then added a ribbon bow. The sentiment is also from The Cutting Cafe, The Social Butterfly Set that was resized and re colored then cut with the circle/scallop Nestibility. The butterfly was cut with Cuttlebug Butterfly Embossing Combo Die that I cut twice and embossed the top layer and added flat back pearls. I added a piece of vellum on the inside of the card to show through the lattice work.
That's it for today. Thanks for dropping by, hope to see you tomorrow. Enjoy your day!

Spread Your Wings
Good Morning Bloggers! I'm so happy you came to visit. If you like what you see, don't be shy, leave a comment so I will know you have stopped by.
Today's card is quick and easy and was made with The Cutting Cafe Printable Stamps. It was a little difficult to photograph because of the sheen of the paper I used and looks a bit muted but looks much better in person. The background paper is the "Spread Your Winds" stamp that was re colored and printed. It was layered on card stock that was cut with the EK Diamond Scallop edge punch that the diamond holes were covered with flat back pearls. The butterfly image is from The Cutting Cafe Social Butterfly stamp set that was re colored and cut and layered with an oval/scallop Nestibility. A craft yarn bow was added to the image and tiny flat back pearls were added to the larger butterfly. The sentiment on the tag was computer generated using Gisha font then cut with a Fiskars tag punch, an eyelet added and tied to the ribbon bow on the background layer.
That's it for today! I Hope you enjoy your visit, and hope to see you tomorrow. Til then...Happy Crafting!

I'm Thankful For My Family/Autumn Blessings
Good Morning Everyone...Happy Monday! I know this sounds crazy but I love Mondays, (second only to Fridays though) but it sets the stage for the rest of the week!
Here's a couple of Autumn cards, both using Cutting Cafe Printable Stamp...Of course! I had so much fun making these and Regina makes it so easy! For this 1st one, I used the Bountiful Blessings and the Thankful for My Family from the Autumn Days Printable Stamp Set that I re sized and re colored then cut with a circle/scallop Nestibility, pierced the scallops with a paper piercer and pop dotted the layers. I attached a backward L shape to the background and added ribbon. The leaves were cut and inked with Cuttlebug Fall Leaves set that I put an eyelet on and attached it using craft yarn. The "dots" in the corner were cut with the Cuttlebug 3x3 Party die.

This second one I re sized and re colored the Autunm Blessing from the When I Count My Blessings...I count You Twice Printable Stamps Set and printed directly on the background layer, scored it with ScorPal then embossed with with Quickuts Diamond and Dots embossing folder then added square metal brads. I added a ribbon bow. The leaves were cut and inked using the Cuttlebug Fall Leaves set and attached to an oval/scallop Nestibility.

Thank You-I Can't Say It Enough
Happy Friday Bloggers! Hope everyone is ready for a fabulous weekend! Regina over at the Cutting Cafe has been SO busy creating some really awesome printable stamps. When I came back from vacation my email mailbox was jam packed with new goodies. Check it out--
http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/
http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/
Today's card was made using the Cutting Cafe Thank You Background Stamp that was re colored and cut with the circle/scallop Nestibility then pierced the inner layer with a paper piercer. The band was cut with Martha Stewart scallop lace edge punch layering it on a slightly larger piece of card stock and adding a ribbon bow. The Cutting Cafe Thank You I Can't Say It Enough Stamp was resized, re colored and cut with the smallest circle Nestibility. It was layered on the tag cut with Cuttlebug Baby Face Alphabet die tag and tied to the ribbon with craft yarn. The flowers were also cut from the Baby Face Alphabet then added flat back pearls. Both were cut with gluing 3 layers of card stock together before cutting to create thickness to the cut. The corners were cut with the EK scallop corner punch.
Thanks for stopping by, See you Monday...enjoy your weekend!

Miss You
Good Morning Everyone! As always, I'm so happy you stopped by to visit! Today's card is just a quickie topper card to send to my father-in-law. When we got ready to leave Virginia, he got really choked up and has called many times since we have been back, in fact, yesterday he called 3 times!
The Stamps By Judith was colored with Prisma pencils 3 times, cut and pop dotted 3 times to give a 3D look then layered on a circle scallop Nestibility that I added glossy accents to the claws, rain hearts and doodle dots to the back ground so it didn't look so plain. I pierced the inner layer of the Nestibility with a paper piercer. The back ground paper of the base card was embossed with the Love Language embossing folder and the sentiment was cut from Cuttlebug Typewriter Alphabet die. I added a bow ribbon and called it a day!
That's it for today, thanks for stopping by, if you haven't already, leave a comment to let me know what you think! I hope to see you back tomorrow, have a great day!

Thank You For Your Hospitality
Good Morning...Gosh it is SO good to be back home. Thank you to all that left comments wishing Triskett well. She is going much better today!
Today's card is a Thank You card that will be sent to my sister-in-law and her husband for their hospitality while we were in North Carolina. They have a beautiful home in the mountains, amongst other things they collect outhouses. This topper card measures 5.5 x 4.25 with the base being 4 x 4. The Stamps By Judith image was stamped and colored with Prisma pencils and OMS 3 times then pop dotted to give a 3D effect. The background of the base card was embossed with Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes. The sentiment was computer generated using Papyrus font with square metal brads added. All of the edges were inked and a ribbon bow was added.
That's it for today...see you tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

You Are In Our Thoughts And Prayers
I'm Back...although if I knew what I was coming home to, I would have stayed gone...LOL! Our trip started off on the wrong foot. Normally we take our dogs with us but since we were going to stay with my sister in law for the first 2 days we decided to board them. We boarded them at our vets office. When we dropped them off, Triskett got so excited she piddled on the floor. We noticed that her urine looked very dark so we asked them to run a test on it and sure enough, there was blood in her urine, the vet said she had a urinary track infection. I wasn't going to go on the trip but they convinced me that this was not uncommon and she was in the best possible place, they would take good care of her and make sure she took her meds. Of course I called every day to see how she was doing and I was told she was doing fine and her urine was starting to clear. After our visit with my sister in law in North Carolina, we stopped at my oldest son's in Tennessee. My goodness how the girls have grown! He lives just outside Pigeon Forge, one of our favorite places to visit! Since the girls were in school, we only stayed 2 days then off to Virgina to see my father in law. We met up with my sister in law and her husband. We had a great time. We had fantastic weather and GREAT food. In fact I put on 5 pounds! It's always nice to be back home, and sleep in your own bed! When we picked up the dogs, we were told that Triskett had finished her meds and her urine was clear. When we got her home, the first place she wanted to go was outside to pee, when she took longer than usual, I took a look and it was nothing but blood! I called the vet and they told me that sometimes that happens with stress but to come back and they would give her more antibiotics. We we got there, I insisted that the vet see her and when he felt her bladder he said he thought he felt something strange so he took an Xray.. It's too late to make a long story short but it turns out that she had a bladder stone the size of a grape! They did surgery yesterday and hopefully in a few days she will be back to her normal self.
What prompted today's card was, late Sunday night the doorbell rang, it was our neighbor, she said that her husband passed away Sunday afternoon. He was in the hospital since Thursday with pneumonia and he just wasn't able to breathe. I'm sure there is more to it than that, but I still can't believe it, he was in his 40's and the picture of health. Not having any sympathy cards for some one special in my stash of cards, I knew immediately where I needed to look for ideas. My blogger friend Lillie is the queen of sympathy cards. If you get a chance, check out her blog, she does AWESOME work. When I went looking for ideas and seen this card, I said "HEY...I've got that Cricut cut file and butterfly...so here it is...
The card base is a Cricut cut file using the George cartridge that Linda Davis on the Cricut Message board offered more than a year ago, I downloaded it but never used it until now. The background layer was embossed with Cuttlebug Script Texture embossing folder and I added a piece of vellum on the inside of the card to show through the lattice work. The sentiment was computer generated using AltastGreeting font and cut with an oval/scallop Nestibilities and added the small butterfly cut with Martha Stewart 3 Butterfly punch with a flat back pearl added. The large butterfly is the Cuttlebug Butterfly Embossing Combo Die that I cut twice and glittered the embossing on the top layer and added flat back pearls. The flowers were cut with the medium and small Marvy Daisy punch, a Michael's dollar bin punch and added flat back pearls. The leaves are EK Mountain Fern Punch. I added a ribbon bow using the Bow Easy and added a cross. That's it for today...It's good to be back and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow. The next card on my agenda will be a Thank You card for my sister in law's hospitality while we were in North Carolina. Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by. I promise, next time I won't be so long winded...LOL!

Bountiful Blessings-Thankful For You
I'm back...with a card I did with The Cutting Cafe Autumn Days printable stamp set---
http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/autumn/
I actually colored the Inkadinkadoo image several days ago so when Regina sent me this new set, I couldn't' wait to finish it. The new set is fabulous and I'm looking forward to using it as soon as we get back from our trip.
The image was colored using Prisma pencils and OMS with a little glitter added to the center of the sunflowers and the wheat then layered with Nestibilty tag, pop dotted and added brads. The circle word is The Cutting Cafe printable stamp that I added Thankful For You to the center using Credit Valley font along with a maple leaf clip art, then pop dotted and layered it on a circle/scallop Nestibility. I added a few leaves that were cut with Martha Stewart Maple Leaf and put them together with an eyelet and tied it to the ribbon bow with craft yarn. The edges of all the layers were inked.

Thinking Of You-Inspired By Migdalia
Good Morning Everyone. I hope you had a great 3 day weekend! We started our weekend with a trip to Epcot Friday evening to share in the celebration of a very good friend's birthday. We had perfect weather, which is unusual for Florida this time of year. Normally we get late afternoon thunderstorms, but not on Friday, we didn't get a drop of rain! Well, at least not at Epcot! We even stayed for the fireworks which is something that we don't usually do since it is such a madhouse when exiting of the park. Good food, good friends...it don't get much better!
Today's card was totally inspired by a Thank You gift from Migdalia. When she sent me the Thank You card that I posted last week, she included some crocheted flowers. Aren't they so cute! She is SO crafty! I really had fun with these. I cut an oval using an oval Nestibility from some K & Company designer paper that had flowers on it then glue the crochet flowers on top of the flowers leaving the stems show through, then layered it on top of a scallop Nestibility. I put the background paper onto a layer that was cut with an EK dotted scallop edge punch and added a bow that I used the Bow Easy. I think I have decided that I really don't like it after all, the over all look is probably OK but I like a tighter bow so I think I'll go back to my old way of making bows. The tag was cut with a Spellbinder tag that the words Thinking Of You were computer generated using Angelina font then used craft yarn to tie it to the ribbon.
Don't forget, if you want to be eligible for the Cutting Cafe printable stamp sets that I have posted, you have until tomorrow midnight to leave your comment. To be eligible for ALL 3 sets, you must leave a comment on ALL 3 posting which are---
Big Stuff Sentiments Set posted 9/3 titled "A Give Away" From The Cutting Cafe

That's all I have for you today. We are getting ready for a trip to Virgina later this week so I may not be posting everyday as I usually do. But I will try to sneak in when I am able to do some crafting, so make sure you check back. Enjoy your day and I will see you when I see you!

Thank You, Thank You, I Can't Say It Enough
Good Morning Everyone...Happy Monday...Happy Labor Day...Happy 3 Day Weekend! I thought I sneak into my craft room while my husband is still fast asleep to do a quick card this morning.
This card is super quick and easy. It is done with the Thank You back ground and the Thank You, Thank You, I can't say it Enough printable stamp from none other than The Cutting Cafe---
http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/thank-you-thanks/
I just LOVE the background stamps that Regina has to offer and just can't get enough of them. They are SO versatile, you can change the font color, you can change the font size, you can print it on different color paper...you can do all sorts of thing with it...I just LOVE 'em! The Thank You, Thank You, I just can't say it Enough is the way I'm feeling about being on The Cutting Cafe Design Team. Regina is so great to work with, she really makes me feel so welcome and a part of the team! The Thank You background was printed on designer paper then layered with Spellbinder Sunflowers cut 3 times for the large sunflower and twice for the smaller one then pop dotted. The Thank You, Thank you I can't say it enough was printed then cut with a circle/scallop Nestibility. I added a bow that I used The Bow Easy. I haven't decided if I like it or not but since Sharon over at Gramma's House of Cards---
http://grammashouseofcards.blogspot.com/
went to so much trouble getting me the tutorial, I wanted to give it a try!. I had gotten the Bow Easy a long, LONG time ago and never figured out how to use it so I just tossed it aside, in fact I wasn't sure that I didn't throw it away. When I seen a card on Sharon's blog where she had used it, I told her my story, she said she had a fantastic tutorial and if I ever found it to let her know and she would send it to me. I had come across it last week so I asked her to send it to me. The tutorial is super simple but I'm not able to get the knot tight enough so I'll have to play with it some more before making a final decision on it it.
Well, that's it for today, enjoy your day...see you tomorrow!

I just love the Halloween This and That set and had SO much fun making this shaker card, I made the window using the rectangle/scallop Nestibility and filled it with seed beads. The "BOO" sentiment was cut with Spellbinder tag set, inked and added an eyelet then tied it to the ribbon knot. The spider that was cut with Cuttlebug 3x3 Halloween die that was attached with floss, then inked the background layer. Super easy!

The images come from the Halloween This and That set and features 22 images. As with the Anniversary set and the Big Stuff Sentiments, all you have to do to be eligible to win is leave me a comment between now and midnight EDT Wednesday 9/9 for the drawing to be held Thursday morning. If you want to be eligible for ALL 3 sets, be sure to leave comments on all 3 of the postings.
Super easy!

Another "Give Away" From The Cutting Cafe
I know I said I wasn't going to have a chance to post anything today but I really wanted to get this done so you all would have a chance to win the Anniversary set that is being given away by The Cutting Cafe---
http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/anniversary/
All you have to do to be eligible to win is leave me a comment between now and midnight EDT Wednesday 9/9 for the drawing to be held Thursday morning (unsure of the exact time but you know me...I'm an early bird) and announced here on my blog that morning! At first I didn't know what to think of the set, after all my anniversary isn't until January but after exploring all the possibilities I wanted to do something with it and now that it is done, I think I will hide it away until January!
All 3 sentiments are done using the Anniversary set from The Cutting Cafe that I resized and colored using the Apex color theme in Microsoft word. I layered the "Happy Anniversary" circle onto a circle/scallop Nestibility, embossing the center circle with Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder. The "I Love you more & more each day" sentiment was cut and layered onto a heart Nestibility and pop dotted. The "To my Wonderful Husband" sentiment was cut and layered onto the oval/scallop Nestibility. The band was cut with the EK arrow border punch, adding a layer of card stock that was embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and added a bow ribbon. The flowers were cut with the small and medium Marvy daisy punch, adding a center cut from a dollar bin punch from Michael's and a flat back gold gem. The leaves are punched using the EK fern punch.
Now I've got to fly like the wind to get this mess cleaned up before my husband gets home from his physical therapy session! Have a great holiday weekend!
Don't forget, the only way you can win this great Anniversary Set is to leave a comment!

Sketch Challenge #6
There's a Sketch Challenge going on over at Delightful Sketches---
http://delightfulsketches.blogspot.com/
Why not join in on the fun?!?
Here's my take on it---
I colored the Bookworm image from Digital Delights with Prisma pencils and OMS then cut the image with a rectangle Nestibility using the out of frame technique and layered it on a scallop Nestibility. I used Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder for the strip of card stock that the bookworm is on and layered circle/scallop Nestibilities that were embossed with Cuttlebug Flowers 2x2.75 embossing set to emboss the other strip and added gemstone. The sentiment is also from Digital Delights and was cut with circle/scallop Nestibility. The school books are clip art that were found on line. I added ribbon and glossy accents to the worms glasses.
Thanks for stopping by...I'll be back a bit later. Til then Happy Crafting!

A Thank You From Migdalia
Look what I got in the mail today...Isn't it gorgeous!! The paper is beautiful and ooooh the butterfly is stunning. It looks like she used glimmer mist on it, but I don't know that for sure, I will have to check with her. Migdalia has been with me from the start of my blog and even though she lives here in Orlando, we have never meet in person. She and I have exchanged many emails and I can always count on her for a cheery comment. She doesn't have a blog...but I'm working on her to get one started.
Just A Little Note Filled With A Whole Lot Of Gratitude
Good Morning! Just a really quick card this morning, so I can explore the possibilities of the Cutting Cafe! I am SO excited. I asked my husband this morning to pinch me so I knew that I wasn't dreaming...LOL! Really, I'm looking forward to working with Regina and all of the design team members, They have made me feel so welcome!
I layered an oval/scallop Nestibility that was word generated using Papyrus and AltastGreeting font on a layer that was embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder then layered that on the background that was cut using Martha Stewart Thanks edge punch. The butterfly was cut and embossed using Cuttlebug 3x3 Butterfly combo then glittered. I cut the butterfly twice then folded and attached a small piece of acetate to the middle so the butterfly could "spread it's wings" and would not flatten, then added flat back pearls.
That's it for today...I'm going to go play now...thanks for stopping by...see you tomorrow!

I Have An Important Announcment To Make
Regina has asked me to join the Design Team for The Cutting Cafe---
http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/
I am SO excited but at the same time a little scared. But, like I told Donna when she emailed me to welcome me to the team, it's a good kind of scared, it's the kind that builds character and will help me grow. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for this opportunity to work along side the talented designers that make up the Cutting Café Design Team. They have been a source of inspiration to me along the way. I will update my blog as soon as I get a chance. Have a great evening.

Halloween Cards---I'M DONE!
Good Morning Everyone...What a BEAUTIFUL day it is!!! I am so excited...I just finished the last of my Halloween cards...ahead of schedule! The ones for my grand kids, of course I wanted to be different but the ones I did this morning, I massed produced since they will be sent to adult family members and going in different directions, I was OK with them being the same. They were very simple and so much fun to make!
I started with infamous "BOO" background paper from The Cutting Cafe---
http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/
I just can't get enough of that paper, it is so versatile, you can change the font color, you can change the font size, you can print it on different color paper...you can do all sorts of thing with it...I just LOVE it! I layered different cuts from the 3inch Cuttlebug Halloween die onto circle/scallop Nestibilities then layered it on color coordinating papers. The words are computer generated using Doodle Print and LunacyMore font. The tag was cut with Spellbinder tag set and secured with brad. It just doesn't get much easier that that!
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day and I hope to see you back here tomorrow!
