Have A Question On How I Did Something? PLEASE READ!

I love to share what knowledge I have. I'm finding it more and more difficult to respond to your questions because some of you are not leaving a way for me to contact you. I am not ignoring those of you who have questions, but the majority of the time no contact information is given so I am unable to respond to your inquiries. If you are serious about me answering the questions you ask and do not have a Blogger account with an email address linked to it, please leave your email address or email me with your question at knmic1012@aol.com and I will get back with you. If you email me, be sure to put "blog question" in the subject line so I won't think it's SPAM and delete it.

Two Hearts Beat As One.

A girl in my husband's office in getting married in April so I made her this card. I used D'Vine Swirl and Swiss Dot Cuttlebug embossing folders with heart, scalloped heart and flower Nestibilities. I used Martha Stewart branch punch and Valentine heart edge punch and added hero art 3mm & 5mm flatback pearls, and a ribbon knot. Words are computer generated.
This card was inspired by Lillie on the Cricut Messageboard. I just fell in love with the one she did for Valentine's Day and just had to scraplift. I loved the way she layered the hearts and added the pearls. Check out her Blog---

I just stumbled upon your blog--and all I can say is W O W ! ! Your cards are absolutely STUNNING!! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! I had a few questions for you whenever you can find the time in your busy schedule to answer them. What brand of white cardstock do you use? Also, where do you purchase your Gamsol? Is it hard to use? I seen a demo on utube (Jennifer McGuire from Hero Arts) but always wanted to ask someone personally how to use it and the correct way. I had the Cricut but sold it (along with ALL my cartridges) and went with the Pazzles Creative Cutter. I really like it, but after seeing your works of art, I just may have to go back to the Cricut. I too am IN LOVE with the Spellbinders dies! Love the way they package them--lots of dies at a great price. I really love your work and I would greatly appreciate it if you could email me--like I said, whenever you can find the time!! I get so excited when I am fortunate enough to find a fabulous blog like yours with so many inspirational cards. You truly are blessed with a wonderful talent. Thank you and I hope to hear from you. My email is crissy600@hotmail.com. Have a very HAPPY EASTER!!~~~Christine Schmidt~~~

Christine---I sent you an email but wanted to also answer your questions on my blog as others may have the same questions.
I currently use Beckett Expression Radiance 80lb cardstock.
I purchased Gamsol on eBay but it was pricey so I now use Mona Lisa paint thinner that I purchase at Michael's. It is the same as Gamsol, just another brand name for odorless mineral sprits. I really should change the wording on my blog to read odorless mineral spirits instead of Gamsol.
I really don't use my Cricut much, I probably have used it more for my Easter cards than I have with all of my other cards put together. I don't dare tell my husband about the Pazzel, or he will see to it that I have one of those too...LOL!
I really love my Nestibilities, I think they are my number one tool besides my paper cutter and my Cuttlebug!
If there are any more question, please don't hesitate to ask...I love making cards and if I can help anyone in the process then it has given me great satisfaction! If you haven't already, be sure to sign up as a follower so you can stay current with my projects!

Happy Crafting!

I've just discovered your blog. I just subscribed to it. You have awesome work! Can you please tell me if you print the computer generated sentiment on your paper BEFORE or AFTER you emboss it? I'd like to try that. Thanks!!

Welcome Andrea! You are so kind, I have been making cards for a short time. I started in October but didn't really get into it til February. To answer your question, I print the words before I emboss. I set a word document to the size of the paper I will be working with. That way you can move the words to where you want them to appear on the paper. I have very few word stamps, but a BUNCH of fonts! Thanks for subscribing...see you next time!

Thanks Kath but I really can't take the credit for it. It was inspired by Lillie on the Cricut MessageBoard. If you haven;'t already check out her blog---http://d-swat.blogspot.com/search/label/Birthdays?updated-max=2008-06-16T19%3A19%3A00-07%3A00&max-results=20
