Lions, Tigers and Bears...Oh My/Thanks a Ton

 Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Here's a couple of cards that I started awhile back and was able to complete them in the craziness of this past week. It's been awhile since I used my Copics so I thought while I was doing this the Lions, Tigers and Bears for my grandson, I would do a quick Thank you too. Last year when we took Kenny Michael to Animal Kingdom, he got so tickled when we chanted Lions, Tigers and Bears...Oh My! Do I need to tell you what the inside says? Although when we gave him the card, I asked him to name the pictures, fully intending to say Oh My when he was done but much to my disappointments he said a lion, a tiger and a PANDA...what a smartie pants!!! I guess I should have done a brown bear. The images are from Dustin Pike---

Let's Go For A Ride-Cutting Cafe

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week! We had dinner with my son and daughter in law last night...my goodness how the twins have grown. Do you believe they will be 1 year old next month? Where does the time go when you are crafting? I knew I wasn't going to have a lot of time for crafting this week, so I turned to The Cutting Cafe for help. I used the Let's Go For A Ride printable stamp set. This set is awesome and comes with 42 images and sentiments. It went together so quick and easy. When I say quick, I mean REALLY quick. It took me maybe all of 15 minutes to put it together and that was with the time it took me to find my yarn threader to secure the button. It actually took me more time to take the picture and upload it here to my blog. Have I mentioned how much I love Regina and The Cutting Cafe?

A Thank You For Our Vet

Good Morning Blogger Friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! I know that I don't usually post on the weekends but I wanted to share a card with you and explain why I haven't visited my favorite blogs much this week. Many of you know we rescued a very sweet Maltese from a puppy mill environment some 7 or 8 years ago. She came to us with a lot of health issues and required a lot of medical attention. For the past 7 or 8 years we have battled chronic ear infections. Last December the ear was no longer treatable with medication and surgery was our only option. After they had prepped her, they were not able to do the surgery because they were not able to intubate her...not even with the smallest breathing tube. She was given yet another steroid shot and antibiotics and sent us on our way with the promise that the vet would cosult with his fellow animal surgeons for a solution to this problem. To make a long story short (too late for that...lol) a specialist was called in and she had the surgery this past week. They removed her ear from the ear drum out and will require extensive care for at least the 3-4 weeks. We took pictures of her but I'll spare you...gross is an understatement! Anyway, here is the card I made for Drs. Kirven, Van Lue and the Staff at Hunter's Creek Animal Hospital who not only provided her with the best possible care but the level of care and concern for us as well---

The card didn't photograph well, perhaps I'll take it outside once the sun comes up but more than likely not. I will do my best to catch up with my favorite blogs this weekend but things are kind of hit and miss at this point...as will be my postings. This is worse than having a newborn baby in the house...precious little time for anything. The best part is, after the healing...we won't have to deal with another ear infection again! Happy Father's Day To A Real Classic-Cutting Cafe

Good Morning Everyone! Happy June 1st! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a great week! Here's a couple of cards I did for The Monthly Inspiration over at The Cutting Cafe using the Cruisin By To Say Hi Printable Stamp Set. This is an AWESOME set that comes with 98 images that features 3 different cars in 3 different sizes. Each car also comes in black and white as well as a few fun colors.The set also comes with 14 sentiments in 3 ways...Straight and circle words. I have to admit when Regina told the Design Team what set we would be using this month, I had no idea what I was going to do, but I knew I had to make a couple of Father's Day cards so I thought I would use the set for them. I had so much fun with this set and they came together so quickly, but that is no surprise, all of The Cutting Cafe's files are so quick and easy. Regina has done all the work for you---

Good Morning Everyone! For those of you that are here in the US, I hope you are having a great holiday weekend. While you are with friends and family having a cookout in the backyard or just enjoying the day off work, take a moment to remember all the men and women that served in the Armed Forces that gave their lives for our freedom.

Hey Cupcake-Cutting Cafe

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week! Each month Regina with The Cutting Cafe posts a "Monthly Inspiration" for your viewing pleasure. Here is my contribution for this months Design Team project showcasing cupcakes! Regina will be posting the Design Team's project 5/15 so be sure to check the Cutting Cafe for a yummy taste of inspiration along with a chance to win 3 files from The Cutting Cafe. I will post a reminder on 5/15. I had so much fun making this card using the Cupcake Printable Stamp Set 1 that features a 4 Piece set of CUPCAKES that is already formatted for you to create 4 cards quickly. Because my card is a 4.25 square note card I printed mine at 70%. For the background, I used the Hey Cupcake from the Cupcake Background Printable Stamps. A Couple Of Wedding Cards

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and for those of you that are mothers and grandmothers, I hope you had a wonderful day! We spent the day with my youngest son and his family followed by a most enjoyable evening at Epcot. Every Spring, Disney has a concert series at Epcot and Davy Jones of The Monkees has been a regular there as far back as I can remember. I was a huge fan of his some 45 years ago, and although my taste in music has changed, he gave great concert! He has put on a few pounds but still has a full head of hair and had a lot of stage presence. There was a lot of interaction with the audience which made me think that he knew his fans made him what he is today. The Monkees was my first concert when I was 10 or 11 years old and it brought back a flood of memories...I remember it as if it were yesterday.
Here's a couple of wedding cards that I made for my good blogger friend Lorene. This first one is a little different than what I have seen of the bride and groom done with Nestibility hearts. It's my version as I LOVE a man in a white tux---This second one didn't photograph well because of the shimmer paper and bling. It was made with the doves from The Joy of the Season Cricut Cartridge-That's it for today. Mom-I Love You-Cutting Cafe

Because I reduced the size to fit in the Nestibility heart, the photo may not pick up the text inside of the letters but in real life it shows the I love you within the letters perfectly. Don't Be Alarmed...

Good Morning Everyone...Happy Friday! I hope you have had a great week! I had fully intended to get back with you before this to share some exciting news, but my father in law passed away this past week and things have been crazy. As it turns out, Regina with The Cutting Cafe didn't make the announcement until last night so it's just as well. Can you guess what the news is? Yep...I'll be returning to the Cutting Cafe as a member of the Design Team after what seems like an eternity when in reality it has only be 4 months. I am SO excited! I have missed Regina terribly. I will be posting as I have done in the past 4 months with the exception of each week when I post something for The Cutting Cafe, I will be posting it by itself and will give the recipe with the list of supplies I have used. I officially don't start until May 1st but when Regina told us to "Go Shopping" for files, I couldn't resist this Alarm Clock Shaped card. School Is Out

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and everyone had a nice Easter. I've not been on the Internet much this past week, I've got a ton on unanswered emails and I haven't visited my favorite blogs. I won't have a chance to today but I promise before the week is out, I'll get to it. It's almost that time of year again...for most people, summer vacation will begin next month and school will be out for the kids. Here's a couple of quick cards that I'll be sending to my granddaughters that live in Tennessee next month. This first one is a 4.25 x 4.25 square note card that I used the ever famous Bugaboo Digital Stamp image. I colored it with Copic Markers, paper pieced the dress and popped the image on the crayon. It reminded me so much of my oldest granddaughter, Kayli . If you hadn't noticed, I have added a picture of them to my sidebar. Now...I have to get after my youngest son to get me a picture of the boys---
This next one is for my middle granddaughter, Chloe. I used the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge and Cuttlebug balloon dies---
Here is a picture that my daughter in law sent me via email of a picture Chloe did in her art class. It's her rendition of Claude Monet's "Water Lily Pond". She is 6 years old and quite talented, wouldn't you say? Chistmas In April
