Happy Father's Day To A Real Classic-Cutting Cafe

Good Morning Everyone! Happy June 1st! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a great week! Here's a couple of cards I did for The Monthly Inspiration over at The Cutting Cafe using the Cruisin By To Say Hi Printable Stamp Set. This is an AWESOME set that comes with 98 images that features 3 different cars in 3 different sizes. Each car also comes in black and white as well as a few fun colors. The set also comes with 14 sentiments in 3 ways...Straight and circle words. I have to admit when Regina told the Design Team what set we would be using this month, I had no idea what I was going to do, but I knew I had to make a couple of Father's Day cards so I thought I would use the set for them. I had so much fun with this set and they came together so quickly, but that is no surprise, all of The Cutting Cafe's files are so quick and easy. Regina has done all the work for you---
 Here is a side view---
And the circle word showing the car popped---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: A2

Another Cutting Cafe Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template

Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Here's the last of my Father's Day cards...I promise! It's for our good friend Eduardo (Gigi's husband). I used the Cutting Cafe's Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template Shaped Cards but didn't use the tie. I hand stitched around the base, off center up the middle of the base and the collar, then added buttons to make it look like a sport shirt. Had I thought about it, I should have added some stitches for the buttonholes but didn't think of it till just now---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Approx. 4"x5"
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-Huge Father's Day Circle
Nestibilities: Circle
Accessories: Buttons, Embroidery Floss, Foam Pop Dots
Patterned Paper: DCWV-At Home
In this case, I used the patterned paper as the base card. The collar is part of the shirt and is cut as one piece then adhered to the inside left panel of the base card and folded over the top front to form the collar. The paper used for the collar, pocket, and layers around the sentiments is plain card stock from my stash and have no idea who's it is.

Happy Father's Day-Enjoy Your Special Day

Good Morning and Happy Friday! I hope you've had a great week and ready to enjoy the weekend! Here's a couple of Father's Day cards that I made for my sons using the Cutting Cafe's Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template Shaped Cards. It comes with 2 shaped card templates, a shirt and tie shaped card and just a tie shaped card and both have matching envelopes. This first is for my youngest son Kenny. I used the shirt and tie template. It's pretty much like the one I made for my father-in-law without the stitching and the colors flipped. I'm not real happy with the photo, it looks like the colors are washed out and kind of blend together...kind of blah but in real life it really looks much better---

Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Approx. 4"x5"
Card Template: Cutting Cafe-Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template Shaped Cards
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-Huge Father's Day Circle
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Accessories: Buttons, Embroidery Floss, Foam Pop Dots
Patterned Paper: DCWV-La Creme
In this case, I used the patterned paper as the base card. The collar is part of the shirt and is cut as one piece then adhered to the inside left panel of the base card and folded over the top front to form the collar.

This next one is for my oldest son, Kevin. It's the same Shirt and Tie Cutting File/Template Shaped Cards but instead of the shirt and tie, I used the tie shaped card. Not only did I want his to be different but his birthday is next month so I will probably be using the shirt and tie then. I shaved off a tiny sliver of the bottom so it would stand by itself and I know in the picture the outer layer of the Nestibility around the sentiment looks off centered but it's really not, it must be the angle of the camera. I'm not doing too well taking pictures today am I...lol!
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Approx-A Little Smaller Than 3"x A Little Larger than 5"
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe-Huge Father's Day Circle
Nestibilities: Circle
Accessories: Foam Pop Dots
Patterned Paper: DCWV-At Home, DCWV-Shimmer (tie shadow/outer layer of Nestibility)
That's it for today. I have things to do, places to go, and people to see this morning so I won't have a chance to visit my favorite blogs til later in the day, but I'll catch up with you either this afternoon or tonight to see what you've been up to. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day and have a wonderful weekend! I hope to see you back here on Monday!

Happy Father's Day #1 DAD

Good Morning Everyone! It's not to early to be thinking about Father's Day...It's next month you know! Here's a quick and easy shaped card I did for my father-in-law. I say quick and easy, that's because Regina over at the Cutting Cafe has made it so quick and easy with the Shirt and Tie Cutting File. The file comes with 2 shaped card templates. The shirt and tie template and a template for a tie shaped card along with 2 circle stamps, the circle that I used here and a circle for dad's birthday. I also added the sentiment "Enjoy Your Special Day" from the Huge Father's Day Circle Printable Stamps---
Here is the recipe---
Card Size: Approx. 4"x5"
Card Template-Cutting Cafe Shirt and Tie Cutting File
Sentiment: Cutting Cafe Huge Father's Day Circle
Nestibilities: Circle/Scallop
Accessories: Buttons, Embroidery Floss

Now how is THAT for quick and easy? I'll probably use this again for the Father's Day cards that I will be making for my sons. That's it for today. I've got a busy day tomorrow so I may not be posting again until Friday...In fact I am thinking about going to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday posting to free up some time for other things that need to be done. Anyway, thanks for stopping by...I'll see you when I see you...enjoy your day!

Today Is Your Day To Be Top Dog

Good Morning and HAPPY FRIDAY! It has been a VERY long week for me, not that I will be able to relax this weekend but things won't be quite as stressful. With the nurse and physical therapist coming each day I haven't had much time for crafting. I was able to do a couple of cards last night that I'd like to share with you. They are both for my father-in-law...one serious and one just for fun. He loves to get my cards so it makes it all worthwhile. This first one is a fun one, that was inspired by JoySikes of the Cricut message board...here is the link to her card---http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=4723254&mpage=1
The dog image was cut from Cricut Doodlecharms cut 3 or 4 times then pop dotted and placed on a circle scallop Nestibility. I used a gold gel pen to doodle dot the scallops, the paw prints are clip art and the words are computer generated. The little bones were cut from Cricut Paper Pups. All the layers were inked (how I HATE white core paper) but I guess it does add depth to the card. The inside will read---"To Us, You Are Top Dog EVERYDAY" Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend!

A Father Is Neither An Anchor To Hold Us Back Or A Sail To Take Us There

This card is the serious card that we are going to send to my father-in-law for Father's Day. It's really kind of plain but I really like the saying. The Peddler's Pack image was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS. I did the dryer sheet technique found on Splitcoaststamper---http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ee/index.php/resources/tutorials/dryer_sheet_technique/
and words are computer generated. Thanks for stopping by, hope everyone has a great weekend!

I'm Baaaack With A Couple Of Happy Father's Day Cards!

Good Morning...I'm baaaack! Here is a couple of really quick Father's Day cards that I made for my sons. Because I'm really pressed for time, I made them both the same, just different colors. I guess with everything that has been going on, I didn't realize that Father's Day was just around the corner and I hadn't given it the first thought. The Penny Black image was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS, then layered on a square/scallop Nestibilities, then added it to a layer that I added some clip art paw prints. The Happy Father's Day was computer generated and cut with a circle Nestibility then layered on a Cuttlebug tag that I glued 2 pieces of cardstock together then cut to make it stand off the paper a bit, then added 2 brads. The background layer was embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots . Pretty quick huh?!? Thanks for stopping by, have a great day and I hope to see you tomorrow!
