I'm Back...But Only For A Short Visit

Good Morning Everyone! I'm back but only for a short visit. While I survived the cataract surgery and am able to see again, I now have other issues. I thought I had a pinched nerve but the x-ray proved that was not the case, I now have to go for a nerve study to see why I am having such pain when bending and reaching. It was scheduled yesterday but when I woke up Monday, the pain was gone so I cancelled only to have the pain return. To make a long story short, I am now scheduled for the end on the month. I wanted to share the last of my Christmas cards with you.  Here is a doghouse shaped card I did for our vet done with a pine bough from Impression Obsession, the dogs from Scrapping Cottage and the doghouse that that I did in my Silhouette. It's a re-do of the card I made awhile back that I wasn't happy with...the dogs are a perfect likeness of our dogs Triskett and Charlee--
Here's the money holder for our dog groomer---
The Mickey ornament was done with a Mickey head that I attached the holder to and cut out the word joy in my Silhouette. I also scanned the pine bough die into my computer, imported it into Silhouette so I could reduce it in size---
Here's another die cut from Scrapping Cottage that I scanned into my computer then imported it into my Silhouette, not so I could reduce it in size but so I could do an offset of the snowflake wreath. The mittens are from the Silhouette online store---
These next 6 CAS were also done with my Silhouette---

This winter house is a die cut from Scrapping Cottage that I scanned then imported into Silhouette so that I could reduce it in size. I took the picture before I added the bling to the Star of Wonder from Memory Box---
Here a quick and easy card done with the border die from Scrapping Cottage...I added bling to the larger snowflakes of the background paper after the picture was taken---
Another card done with the winter house from Scrapping Cottage done in full size---
A CAS card that I saw on Pintrest and thought it was cute...I added the cardinals done in my Silhouette---
Here's a Halloween card I forgot to post prior to my eye surgery. Done with clipart and a few cuts from the Silhouette on line store---
That's it for now...Thanks for stopping by to take a peek. I'll try not to be such a stranger and stop by all that leaves a comment but it will have to be spread over the next few days. I am in such pain every time I twist, bend or reach. Enjoy your day and I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very merry Christmas!

More Christmas 2013

Good Morning Everyone! I know it has been awhile since my last posting...it's not that I haven't been crafting...I just haven't been blogging. Tsk tsk for me being a bad blogger...Tsk tsk for you coming on my blog without leaving a comment! With THAT being said...here's a few cards since my last posting. Awhile ago I had gotten this adorable penguin template from Mama Dina's blog but never did anything with it. We had taken our oldest grandson to Sea World to see the Antarctic Exhibit so I thought I'd turn the template into a shaped card. I added the string of lights and a hat...Aren't those eyes and feet too cute---
For the twins a quick little card using clip art I found online. With my Silhouette, it's a snap to do mirror image cards---

Not real happy with the way this card turned out. The dog and dog house, along with the tree is from the Silhouette online store that I turned into a shaped card. The tiny lights stand is from Memory Box and the holly is from the Cutting Cottage Santa's Toys. I will probably re-do it but for now...here it is---

A quick card using a Silhouette sentiment, Spellbinders Floral Oval and Martha Stewart Holly punch that I crimped---
Another quick card using Spellbinders Floral Oval along with Silhouette poinsettias and Impressive Obsession Pine Wreath Collection, Memory Box Twig (without the leaves and berries) and a picture of a Chickadee that I found online that I did a print and cut with my Silhouette---
A SUPER quick card (maybe 20 minutes...start to finish) using a snow scene picture I found online and added the lamppost from Nitwit Make a Scene collection. If I run short of time, I will duplicate this card but instead of using Flower Soft, I will probably use chunky glitter---
A pop up card from the Silhouette online store by Samantha Walker. No matter how hard I tried to get a good picture of the front, I just wasn't able to. The front is blue with stars and the words Peace of Earth showing through in white---
That's it for now...I think I've got a pretty good run on my Christmas cards, I will probably be working on Halloween next. I'm not sure when I will be back...as I have said before...YOUR comments are my inspiration to keep posting. Enjoy your day and have a great week!

More Christmas In July...A Week Late!

Good Morning Blog Friends! I hope you had a nice weekend. I really meant to post these last week but time got away from me and I wasn't able to until now. For those of you that have been following me for awhile, you may remember the "Candy Cane Poem" card I did a couple years ago, the layout is a bit different but the sentiment is the same---
Here's a close up of the sentiment...I love that poem---
A card for our friends up north---
And a card for my good friend Gigi. It photographed a little dark---
That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by. I will be MIA as I am working on a project for my son but will be try not to be gone too long. Enjoy your day...see you next time!

A Few More Christmas Cards for 2013

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week. Here's a few Christmas cards I made instead of working on the birthday cards that need to be done by next week. This old time Santa is a Nitwit image that I did a print and cut with my Silhouette, as is the paper and sentiment. I really like this image so I'm certain you will be seeing it a lot---
Made with my Silhouette. I did a 'print' instead of a 'cut' for the sentiment---
Although the photograph is crooked, it isn't in real life. The Santa and holly is from a Nitwit collection and the sentiment and photo corners are from the Silhouette online store---
That's it for now...thanks for stopping by. I will put the red and green away just long enough to make the birthday cards that have to be done for July. Til next time...enjoy your day!

More Christmas in July 2013

Good Morning Everyone...I hope you are having a good week. Here's a few more Christmas cards done with my Silhouette that I'd like to share with you. When I started my Christmas cards in July last year, it worked out so well that I thought I'd make it a tradition. Other than a few birthday cards, an anniversary card here and there and maybe a thank you card or two, I will be working on Christmas cards until the end of the year or until I am done...whichever comes first. .
That's it for now...I do have a few birthday cards to do for the month of July and hope to get them done and posted next week. Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy your day...See you next time!

Christmas In July 2013

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week. July officially starts the countdown to Christmas so I thought I would post a few of the Christmas cards I have done. This posting is going to be short without a lot of chit-chat since I will be on the run today. For the most part, these cards were done with cuts from my Silhouette. I'm not real happy with the way they turned out but it is what it is and hopefully I won't be in this funk for very long---

That's it for now...thanks for stopping by! I won't have a chance to visit my favorite blogs today but if you are kind enough to leave a comment, I will be sure to visit you tonight or tomorrow.  Enjoy your day...see you next time.

A Few Quick Christmas Cards

Good Morning...I hope you had a great week. I'm really pressed for time this morning so I chose a few clean and simple cards to post today. This first one is very easy to mass produce. I used a Stampin' Up image with the Memory Box Star of Wonder---
Another quick and easy card using 2 of my favorite Memory Box dies, the Reed Bird and Twigs and Berries---
Not sure what I should do with this Memory Box die, I decided to keep it simple until I had the time to play with it a little more---
This last one is a money holder for our hair dresser. The sentiment is computer generated with clip art that I found on line. I added a few Quik Kutz poinsettias and Martha Stewart Holly punch---
That's it for now...I'll be back the first of the week with more Christmas cards. Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

I'm Back With More Christmas Cards

Good Morning...I hope you are having a great week.  I fully intended to get these posted this weekend but you know how life gets in the way sometimes. I used Spellbinder Nested Mittens and Cuttlebug Snowflake die on this quick and easy card. The edge punch is from Stampin' Up, but I don't remember the name---
For our Disney friends, I took a clip art image that I found on line and put it behind the small Memory Box Window die that I sandwiched a piece of acetate between two layers so that I could frost the windows. The embossing Folder is Sizzix Brick Texture Fade and the snowflakes are Cuttlebug die---
Another quick card that I used Memory Box Country Landscape and Star of Wonder die. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. Yes, I know the star is crooked, but I fixed it before mailing---
For this last one, I used Memory Box Virtuoso Music die and a Penny Black image colored with Copic Markers. You can't tell from the picture because it is a little washed out but I put Stickles on the hats. The sentiment is computer generated---
Thanks for stopping by...I'll be back later in the week to post more Christmas cards...hope to see you then. Enjoy your day!

A Few More Christmas Cards

Good Morning...As promised, I am back with a few more Christmas cards. Here is a card that I made for my Blogger friend Shirl for her 7 year old grandson to give to his teacher. I had so much fun with this, I use the Go Kreate Owl with the hat from the Scrapping Cottage Santa Peeker, Perched him on the Twigs and Berries die from Memory Box and added some snowflakes from a Cuttlebug die. I added some Glossy Accents to the berries and Liquid Applique to the hat---
A quick card made with the Nested Mitten die from Spellbinders, Cuttlebug Snowflake die and Fiskars tag punch---
I'm not sure I like the way this turned out. I cut the window out with a circle Nestibilitiy, then used Martha Stewart Branch punch for the wreath and added some poinsettias cut from Quik Kutz die. The holly is from Martha Stewart Holly punch and the words are computer generated---
And finally, another quick card using the Memory Box Perched Reed Bird, Snowflake Ornament and Twigs and Berries die...how I love that little guy! The scalloped edge is a EK success punch---
That's it for now but I'll be back in a few days with yet more. Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy your weekend!

A Few Christmas Cards

Hello Everyone...I know it has been awhile since I have posted, and I almost never post in the evening. I wasn't going to at all, it wasn't until I had several people email me to ask if I was OK that I decided to do something about it. Blogging is a lot of work and I guess I have gotten lazy. I will be sure to visit your blog if you leave a comment. I've got a ton of cards...all Christmas to post but I'm only going to do a few at a time over the next week or so...that way I won't be so overwhelmed. For this card, I used the Scrapping Cottage Tea Time Doily die. The holly is a stamp from Peachy Keen colored with Copic Markers and added Glossy Accents. The sentiments are from Heartfelt Creation and Michael's Dollar bin that I used Perfect Pearls---
Here's a card done in my favorite non traditional color...PINK. I used Quik Kutz Poinsettia die, Martha Stewart Holly punch, and Spellbinder Lacey Circle. The sentiment is computer generated---
Another card using the poinsettia die from Quik Kutz and Martha Stewart Holly punch. The ornament is the 2011 Heirloom Ornament die from Spellbinders---
For this last card, I used the reindeer from the Fanciful Holiday set from Spellbinders, Martha Stewart Tree edge punch, circle Nestibilities, and Elegant Scroll-work die from Memory Box
That's it for now..For those of you that have been kind enough to leave a comment, thank you so much.
